I’m 73 and started having spasms at 17 playing football irritated my spondylitis. A certified trainer at OSU told me (at 35) to apply ice immediately for an hour. Start heat next as needed. Best advice ever!
@Laughinghawg4 сағат бұрын
Yep! I'm not 73, yet. But I'm catching up fast. Same thing happened to me at 17. Cost me a football scholarship. Back in the 70's medical techniques were a little different. Doc said operate or stop contact sports. Chose the latter. Keeping my core strong and doing the specific exercises always have helped get mine back alignment.

The best thing I have found for the back pain , is the heated seats in the truck . Plus they have the added bonus of keeping take out food warm , especially if you keep it covered with an old blanket .

Love johnny Cash - Country Legend... many great songs. Like the video, and you seem to have what i call "Seasonal Projects" and they work out really well. Hard freeze, good solid ground for in the woods tree work. Seasons for the pond, and many of their projects. Not only i enjoy all the "Morgans" Videos i learn a lot, even Off the Leash, Levi's Eva's channel and the rest. So i guess i can say without fear of contradiction "YOU CAN teach an old dog new tricks. :) [72] thanks, and appreciate the sharing a section of your life. ❤💯🙏

I don't know if you've ever told the story of your family land. Has it been in the family forever? Does the entire family live on it? How big is it? Are there plans to build a house for Hannah's family on the property? Do you do the maintenance for the entire property on your own? You have a lot going on there, Mike!!!

Yea Mike, you go through all the tough work with the excavator, and you could hurt your back bending down to pick up a twig. I guess that's life for you. I go by the statement, "It's always something." Well, if you have to sit down and take it easy, sit near the fire and let us know about some of your plans for the future; that would be great. All the best to you and yours. Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Mike, that's your mum's..... powerrake the sides and level out some stone while the ground is soft so it will sink in. That guy delivering the shed is going to go axle deep in those stump holes! It does surprise me that as soon as someone gets an excavator, they have to knock trees down with it???? Saw it, drop it, cut to length, clean the tops up and stack the logs. Then, leave the stump 2 feet high and haul / dig it out. Especially with dead trees, you are going to put a top through the cab. I don't know, I don't have an excavator, I have a big saw and a 1990 Toyota truck with a flat deck and 3 sets of springs in the back. It will haul 3200lbs of crushed stone no problem. I just use logging chains and straps to pull stumps if I need to. Back pain I understand! I have my L4, L5, AND S1 going in all different directions from my work on the riot squad at the prison! The BEST thing you can do is lean your butt up against the wall and slowly relax to touch your toes or floor.... your back will pop in a bunch of places and stretch out those sore muscles. It's the only thing that helps me, and it's instant! No waiting around. I am 53 and do it no problem, so no excuses! You even have people to help you!

I am having my back reassembled this Friday. I know back pain. I have Spondylolisthesis and severe stenosis. Hurts mid back to my knees. Ive had many nerve blocks and finally the correct imaging to indicate that a vertebra is offset by 20mm, thus impinging on the spinal cord and nerve roots to the legs. I’ve been in a recliner on heat pad for muscle tension relief for 2 months waiting on this Friday. But now I can watch you without fear of critique for a couple of months.

I understand your back pain. I get up every morning at 6 am, can’t do much of anything until about 8 am when the back starts to loosen up. Then I work until it starts to hurt and that’s the end of my work day. Besides being a stubborn old guy, about every 4 months I get a shot in my spine to stop the nerve pain. My outlook on life…. I might be old, but I ain’t dead yet!

I hurt my lower back decades ago. When it would go I head off to the chiropractor. I did this for years until I got a “Inversion Table” and I will tell you I have not needed chiropractic care or ANY down tip because of it. I may get on it once a month when I just feel any discomfort. A minute of rocking +/- 45 degrees, a complete vertical with a twist left then right and it’s done. My back is no longer an issue. Cannot recommend an inversion table enough. I will always have it at the ready. If you decide on getting one make sure it is UL listed. You don’t want to be hanging upside down and it breaks. I use the TEETER.

Hey Mike, I got a little trick for you. I’ve had back issues all my life. I’m 73 years old. I had an L345 fusion many years ago. I know it’s you’re talking about something you can do if your back is bothering you and you’re uncomfortable in your chair or watching TV Get out of the chair lay down on the floor and put your feet up where your butt would be in the chair, scoot your butt up to the bottom of the chair and lay like that for 15/20 minutes I think you’ll be surprised

Great video ! Very timely for me, as I am about to rent an excavator to remove some big oaks near my drive. Do you think an 18" or 12" bucket would be more helpful? These trees are also close to the drive, but more lively than the ones you took out. I am thinking that a 12" would concentrate excavator's power more? And definitely minimize damage to driveway? Hope your back gets better quickly - a bad back turned me to Christ earlier in life.
