Is there anything better than having hot hot bhajia straight from the frying pan with a nice cup of tea as a mid morning or afternoon snack? So quick and easy to make, whether you want to us the ready mix from the box or make it from scratch.
Here are the 2 methods!
Ingredients
250g Packo Chillie bite mix
1/2 bunch dhania - leaves only
A few sprigs of spring onion
Mint leaves
1 green chillie
1/2 large onion
pinch of salt
1 and 1/4 cup water (mix to wet but not runny)
3cm oil to fry
From Scratch:
2 cups gram (chana) flour plus 1/4 additional gram flour to adjust consistency (check consistency before adjusting)
1 tsp mixed masala
1 tsp fine salt
1 tsp mixed herbs
1 tsp dhania and jeera powder
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp baking soda - optional
1/2 bunch dhania - leaves only
1 green chillie
1/2 large onion
Spinach (bhajia) leaves
1 cup water (mix to wet but not runny)
3cm oil to fry
Note - can add mint and spring onion but does become too green
Serve with a sweetchillie dipping sauce and a nice cup of tea!
