i watched this vid, jaiden's original vid, and the song when they first came out, and i thought it was really powerful. now, though, after struggling withan eating disorder for ~ a year and trying to recover, but ultimately going nowhere for 9 months, it really hits hard. my parents constantly trigger me by talking about their own diets and weight loss. my mother and grandmother saying how they're jealous of my weight loss. i want to gain weight. ive gotten weak because my body cant build muscle. i tried to reach out for help, but i ended up just stressing my friend out. i cant tell my parents because of the pain it will put them through. im alone in this fight. im constantly hungry, but the thought of eating and actual meal makes me feel sick. throughout the day, i eat maybe one meal over the course of 16 hours. i have no energy, im weak, im constantly cold, and when i do eat, i get a terrible stomach ache. i dont know what the point im trying to make is. i guess i just wanted to get this off my chest

i just recently discovered jaiden. despite her years of success. and i didnt know this part of her history. as someone who struggled with an ED myself, finding this video and knowing how she's doing now brought a few tears to my eyes. i understand the struggle. and i also know how good it feels to be out of such a tortuous cycle. Thanks to the both of you for making a video that normalizes talking about your problems no matter the weight to them. and to show that the healing process isn't always tough every day. i know its been years since this came out, but i think its good to know that there are people who are still finding it and being emotionally affected by it positively.
