Making this style of zoodles this week. Thanks for this recipe. I first tried zoodles at "Noddles and Company" so I believed the zoodles were supposed to be raw and tossed in a warm sauce. I'll be cooking them using this recipe. The garlic must make this taste really good

I bought an electric spiralizer and believe me it was worth it. I have arthritis in my shoulders and it was excruciating to try to turn the handle. There is so many dishes you can make with spiralized veggies and some fruits. Especially if you are on a Paleo diet. Great easy meal here. Thanks! You've inspired me to start spiralizing again. 🙂

The texture looks perfect! How did u keep them from getting soggy or watery?
@cookingwithcoit2 жыл бұрын
Hi Cori- the key is not cooking them too long. Leave them a little al dente and you won't have the soggy problem! I like a little crunch with my zucchini noodles, makes them feel heartier and less like a healthy vegetable :)

I made this for dinner tonight - delicious recipe! I made them with a regular peeler and hand cut them to be thinner. Although a little time intensive, turned out to be a delicious and nutritious dinner idea. Thanks 😊

Hi! In the case of those who don't count with a spiralizer at home, what common artefact is best to replace it with? Could I try this with a regular peeler? Thank you for your recipe!

Hello OK so I made the noodles . I like them however do you have a tip to cook them so that there is not that slight crunch. Perhaps I'm not cooking them long enough? I want them to be soft but chewy like regular spaghetti noodles without the slight bit of crunch that reminds me that this is a vegetable. Thank you.

usually those noodles will add a lot of water once you start cooking... I generally have to salt and the squeeze the water out of them before I do and kind of stir fry with them

Salt them before you cook them. Let it sit for about 30 minutes. Lightly squeeze the water out. Dont overcook they will get mushy

My issue is I actually want more calories. So I add 4 tablespoons of olive oil to fry a full zuncchi noodle. The issue is it starts to get watery... What gives!
@MT-hk9cp Жыл бұрын
You must toss the spiral zucchini in some salt and then let it drain in a colander for a few hours or overnight. The Salt draws out additional water. Then cook them and they won't be soggy. I bake mine so I toss them in some olive oil so they don't dry out
@Amarmi579 Жыл бұрын
If you want more calories, you might want to eat your pasta with some toasts, just toast some bread, put a little bit of butter, and garlic powder... the bread and butter will certainly add more calories to your meal.
