Is that a graphite conrod? Heard of an outfit that bought 3 Makita hammers, all of them suffering from a broken graphite conrod in the first week.

I'm not aware of any tool that has a graphite conrod This one is nylon with I think 60 glass fibers

@@deandohertygreaser cheers, not something I’ve personally experienced breaking, but the fella telling the story could easily have mistaken graphite for fibreglass. And Makita QC is pretty good, so may have been a batch issue.
