പോളിപ്പ് എന്ന ഒരു അവസ്ഥയിൽനിന്നാണ് മലാശയത്തിനും വൻകുടലിലും വരുന്ന അർബുദത്തിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവം. പോളിപ്പ് എന്ന അവസ്ഥ കാൻസർ അല്ല, കാൻസർ ആയിട്ടില്ല അത് കാൻസറിനു മുൻപുള്ള അവസ്ഥയാണ് പോളിപ്പ്. ഈ അവസ്ഥയിൽ സാധാരണമായി ലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാകാറില്ല.

ഇനി വയറിൽ ഉള്ള കാൻസർ കണ്ടെത്താൻ സാധിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന ലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ എന്തൊക്കെയാണെന്ന് നോക്കാം. കൂടുതലായും കഠിനമായ വേദനയാണ് ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നത്. ഇതിനു കാരണം പോളിപ്പ് വളർന്ന് കുടലിൽ ഉള്ള സ്ഥലം ഇല്ലാതാവുന്നു അതിലൂടെ മലവും ഗ്യാസും പോവാൻ പറ്റാതെ കെട്ടികിടക്കും അപ്പോൾ കഠിനമായ വേദന ഉണ്ടായേക്കാം. അതുപോലെ കുടൽ പൊട്ടി മലം വയറിൽ എത്തുന്ന അവസ്ഥയും ഉണ്ട് അതിനെ ഫീകൽ പെരിടോണിറ്റിസ് എന്നുപറയും. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള അവസ്ഥയിലാണ് രോഗി ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിൽ എത്തുന്നതെങ്കിൽ ഉടൻതന്നെ സർജറി ആണ് ചകിത്സ കൊടുക്കേണ്ടത്.
അതുപോലെ മലദ്വാരത്തിലാണ് കാൻസർ വളരുന്നതെങ്കിൽ ട്യൂമർ വളർന്ന് കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ എപ്പോഴും മലം പോവണമെന്ന് തോന്നും. എത്ര മലം പോയാലും പോവണമെന്ന് തോന്നിക്കൊണ്ടേ ഇരിക്കും.
പിന്നെ മലം കെട്ടികിടന്നാൽ കഠിനമായ വേദന ഉണ്ടാകും അതുപോലെ കെട്ടിക്കിടന്ന മലം കുറച്ചുകഴിഞ്ഞാൽ വയറിളക്കമായി പോവും. മലത്തിന്റെ കൂടെ രക്തവും വരും. വൻകുടലിന്റെ തുടക്ക ഭാഗത്ത് എപ്പോഴും രക്തം പോയികൊണ്ടേ ഇരിക്കും അങ്ങനെ ശരീരത്തിലെ രക്തത്തിന്റെ അളവ് കുറഞ്ഞ് പോവും അനീമിയ വരും. ഇതൊക്കെയാണ് സാധാരണ രീതിയിൽ വരാറുള്ള ലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ.

When colorectal cancer progresses, severe pain may occur due to polyps obstructing the colon, hindering stool and gas passage. Another concerning condition is fecal peritonitis, where stool leaks into the stomach, requiring immediate surgery.
In the case of anal cancer, patients may experience constant urges to pass stool and Tenesmus, a persistent feeling of needing to pass stool regardless of the actual volume.
Blockage of stool may cause intense pain, leading to bouts of diarrhea.
Bleeding from the beginning of the large intestine can lead to anemia due to reduced blood volume. Early stages of colorectal cancer may have no symptoms, making screening even more vital to catch potential issues early.
