Hi Bob, Great music as always. Is the Ortofon a new acquisition ? I have an Ortofon OM20 in a T4P set-up and have to admit its one of my go to's. How do you find the Ortofon Music? is it worth the purchase price, currently around the £129 mark in the Red unit? You must have serious number of Lyrita disc's now.

Hi Nigel. Yes this is a new cartridge 😃 It's a version of the 2M series in the droop snoot "DJ" body. I really like it (thankfully), though whether it's worth the money is another matter! I guess it comes down to personal preferences. I chose the Bronze as it has the fine line stylus, and I'm wondering what the Black or LVB stylii offer now! Have you listened to the eight dances from this record on my classical channel? I must have over 50 Lyrita LPs now. Incidentally I see that the median price of this particular record on Discogs is £95!! Your mention of the OMP20 reminds me I have an OMP40 that I haven't hooked up for a long time now. I must compare it to the Bronze sometime 😂

@@MusicAndVinyl Yes I have listened and have them on the Lyrita CD and on a Box Set from EMI. Great recordings. The OM20 is I think the sweet spot in the line-up, having had the OM40 Super which I found rather sterile. But that's just me I think. I would like the Concorde Music cartridge and then I can fit my OM20 stylus. Try the OM 40 on the Concorde and let me know what you think. 🤔

@@nigelmasters8552 The generators of the OM40 and Concorde Music have different specs - most notably the output (the OM is almost half the voltage of the C-Music) so I don't know how the 40 stylus would perform with the Music. But there's one way to find out!

Hi Nigel. It's not possible to use the 40 stylus on the Concorde Music body as the dimensions are all wrong. The 40 stylus body is smaller and shorter so the stylus overhang wouldn't be right anyway. A nice idea though!

Isn't this cartridge WAY overpriced? Costs more than a Denon DL-301ii
