I know that feeling… after five or six days moored in the middle of nowhere, I sense it’s over and time to be among people again. I move the boat to a village, visit the church then go into the pub; cautiously, carefully tiptoeing into Society once again. I’m aware my throat is tight when I order my drink, because I haven’t spoken in dozens of hours. It sounds strange to me, and it sounds slightly like regret - because IT is over, once again, for a while. I can’t stay in the middle of nowhere for too long, and I can’t go there when I’m not ready.
