Andy is the only guy on youtube that both has access to all the new effects and then gets what they are for. A true music aficionado. Thank the gods!

I wish he had his own channel, his demos always do the best job conveying the ground a pedal covers without being too long or wordy.

The Metro sold me on this. Andy has a seriously good palette of musical tastes, I would never have expected a Berlin song in a pedal demo.

I don't get the one trick pony comments. This has way more versatility than most stand alone pedals. At the least its like a slow gear a term and a volume pedal combined with a shitload more control over waveform. At least it's not another TS clone or Klone

Tremolo is one trick pony. This thing is a many trick pony, including basic trem.

They've come up with the sickest stuff recently and I think it totally helps that not only are they super creative, they're diving into modular synth stuff and those tools can bleed over into the guitar playing realm for some really interesting sounds. Great job as usual Andy. Sick demo.

I don't get the "one trick pony" comments. Any pedal that is only one thing like reverb, delay, etc only do one thing but in different ways. Just like this pedal.

Malekko is the sort of company that has the right ideas (the most important thing - new ideas!), the right approach and design, their pedals are easy enough to operate and still there's that little something that's in the lacking, usability-wise, that they are still to crack. This is where EHX shines. I've been a fan of Malekko for years but never bought any of their pedals. I hope that will change in the future.
@HenrySchecker8 жыл бұрын
I have the Malekko Omnicron Chorus. it only has two knobs, but I'm powering it with the optional 18v instead of 12v and it is the lushest shimmering chorus pedal I've ever used, and I still have an EHX small clone. Plus the pedal is smaller than the small clone so I was able to add a TC electronic flashback to my board.
@SlavSquatSenpai8 жыл бұрын
EHX has nothing on this pedal. It's a solid swell pedal with more extra's that it doesn't even need. If you think they're lacking in something, then what is it?

Where should something like this or the Slow Engine go in the chain? I would think at the same point as a volume pedal...either the beginning or the end depending on your goal?
@harrysouter23048 жыл бұрын
Definitely after distortion , but before delays and reverbs . After everything else , and if you're using a gain amp , put it in the loop
@dwightpeters8 жыл бұрын
Depends on what effect you want. If you want swells, put it before gain just like a volume pedal.

@rybakryoshi14438 жыл бұрын
it has tap tempo
@TheGuitarBling8 жыл бұрын
True. I just like the certainty of being able to dial in the bpm. Assuming the band is playing to a click, it's so locked in.
@rybakryoshi14438 жыл бұрын
you just need to tap the bpm of the song with your feet
@TheGuitarBling8 жыл бұрын
Okay. Apparently my comment needs more explanation. I'm basing my comment on my experience playing with very rhythmic U2ish delays and playing at church (we always use a click). I used to just use a tap tempo and I felt like that was good enough. Than a friend suggested I put in the bpm (I was using a dd-20 so that was no problem). It changed my life. No matter how much I tapped the tempo I couldn't get it as locked in as I could if I can put in the bpm. It's another level. Now I can't go back. If I'm playing with a band that isn't using a click then tap tempo is fine, but if there's a click track (for me 90% of the time there is), than there is nothing like being able to dial in the bpm. Hope that explains where I'm coming from.
