0:40 It's not waveform, but wave folder. Wave form would imply a wavefrom such as a square wave is use to modulate in the input. Wave folding is really cool, big in west coast synthesis. When you saturate a signal it's like it flattens above the threshold, making it more into a square wave, but when you fold it, you invert (fold) the wave above the threshold below the threshold, creating a whole set of interesting harmonics.

i here quite a few pedals emerging nowdays that sound very similar to the crowther audio prunes and custard. the crowther audio has that analog modular fm or wavefolder sound.

@the3-dkiller1 a year late, but hey, this is for anyone still wondering... if this is anything like the Malekko Scrutator: about 9 o'clock om the pre-amp is the regular volume output (but beefed up, as it is a very nice pre). I use my Scrutator with keyboards and synths with no issues whatsoever, so my guess is it'll probably be fine with an active bass.
