The Malenia boss fight at last!! This boss fight is probably the most difficult boss for me out of all the Fromsoft games! And yes I did use Rivers of Blood, so if you came here to complain about that, kindly keep your opinion to yourself 😂

I remember when the story trailer came out I was really curious what Malenia said to Radahn as she was about to nuke him with rot. After all our attempts against her I think we know all too well what she said to him. “I am Malenia, blade of Miquella.”

Actually there were some item description that was left out of the game but recovered by data miners that aluded to Malenia's words to Radahn either before or at the end of the battle. I can't remember the exact item, something to do with a knight that was in the battle, but according to it her words were something close to: "LOL, get wrecked noob."

She said "please don't kill me" because Radahn BODIED her in their fight. Her scarlot rot nuke is the only reason she survived and even then, it served as a distraction so she could escape. Malenia bodies everybody......except Radahn. man lost his feet to rot and still held up the stars in the sky

Even let me solo her admittedly said it took him close to 300 Deaths to get to the point of defeating her. After you think learn her moves, you see another switch in her design. Ever so subtle and yet ever so lethal. Definitely the most difficult Fromsoft boss. She makes Sekiro feel like Kingdom Hearts. She makes Gael feel like defeating Bowser in Smash bros lol. It took me an hour and a half non stop to defeat this woman and it wasn’t pretty. With a gnarly blood build with the Nagakiba, I finally took her down with just an inch of health left. Without shame, I used my mimic tear in NG+ and ended her the very 1st try which felt far less satisfying. NG+2 it’s just me and her again. But Kudos to all who defeated this wild and rotted, nude ass super sword-stress. She’s the definition of “Get Gud” and she’ll haunt our dreams for all of eternity.

Well actually she has known defeat because she literally just lost to Radahn. She is recovering from that fight when you as the player enters the boss arena. Her knights had to carry her back to the haligtree. This is not malenia in her most powerful state.

The opposite happened to me. When I first got her to phase 2, I died but she was so low, my summon Tiche killed her right after I died. I was hoping the fog would disappear but no, I died first.

This happened to me during Mohg's fight. While I celebrated hard after finally beating him solo after around 2 1/2hours, the blood flames killed me (surely around 2seconds after him) and it really didnt count as a win - that was soul crushing.

All depends how much you explore. She missed A LOT. I spent around 170 hours in the first playthrough searching every corner and doing everything I could, and I still missed quite a bit.

@@zaug1561 I mean you would think if she missed a lot, she would NOT be at such a high level due to missing out on potential xp sources. I beat the game at lvl 160 after 120 hours and I was pretty meticulous. And I know she did it legit, so i'm very curious what I did wrong as I was playing lmao.

@@freeofgreed Taking your time and exploring is not doing anything wrong. A quick google search tells me the range is between 100-150 hours on average for first playthrough. Your level at the end of the game doesn't indicate how much of the game you've completed. If you spend a lot of time exploring early and mid game, that will only minimally affect your end game level due to diminishing returns on experience. There are a bunch of NPC quests she missed as well as many random dungeons and bosses that if you add in all the search time finding and completing every one, her time would be significantly higher. Being a completionist or just playing through finding what you find on the way are both fine, and neither are wrong or less legitimate.

Rune farm after I beat the game I rune farm for a long time and got to 300 and then began my second journey and got 2x the amount of runes I got before and grinded up to 400 and now I’m at journey 6 at 502 and 40 hours of just grinding

The coolest thing about her imo. I love how masterfully she uses the prosthetic too, shortening it AND extending it at will in the middle of a fight. At 36:58 during that "slash flurry" for example, u can hear her shorten it before slashing, then making it longer again for the finisher. Even cooler when u remember that her blade is actually ATTACHED to her prosthetic hand

After watching several streams of this game and seeing how people pretty much just run through them, I can see why it only takes them like 80 hours or so to beat it. My first playthrough was like 390 hours long. To me, there are no optional bosses, optional enemies, or optional loot. Everyone dies every time..... Or more than likely I do.

Those are not her toes. Her leg prosthetics are just modeled after humanoid feet rahter than shoes. The hardest boss in Elden Ring is a blind triple amputee

Really great first few attempts at her though. I know you’ve already beaten her and it’s well past a year now, but you would have done so much better against her in much less time if you stopped panic rolling. Just use a summons. Bosses are scaled for it. Game literally is made for it. Could argue healing is cheating because bosses don't heal or using double weapons is cheating. Using buffs is cheating. I beat her in 5 minutes first try. Same thing
