I really love Malfy Con Rosa. The gin and grapefruit flavours are wonderful together. I always have some on hand! Delicious! This is a gin that is amazing to sip outside on a hot day on a patio in the back yard or an an outdoor patio at a lovely bar! The flavours along with warm weather are a perfect match but I can happily drink Malfy Con Rosa all year. Really amazing!! I usually love a huge juniper punch but the citrus in this Malfy Con Rosa is a huge hit!! Terrific video and so interesting - I love the background information!! History is always fantastic!! Cheers!! 🙂

I love Malfy! I always keep a few bottles at home. Never know when I'm in the mood for it because it happens quite often.

Thank you , what a bottle design I like it ,and the low pressure vacuum destilation seems to be great way of extracting flavors

Couldn’t agree more - the design is simply stunning!!! 🤩♥️👍🏼 and you are absolutely right about the vacuum - particular when we talk about extracting the finer citrus notes. But there is not “right or wrong” here in regards to the type of still - a traditional pot still will give a deeper taste which in some cases are preferable… So no right or wrong but a lot of choices and possibilities! LOVE IT 🤩😂♥️👍🏼

Another great video, thank you! I wonder where the colour comes from though? If the rhubarb distillate is added to the main distillation afterwards, it would also be colourless? So we can assume that the rhubarb distillate is steeped with something else to give the colour - any thoughts on what that might be? You mention a white flower floral note - could that be in with the rhubarb distillate maybe?
@highongin2 жыл бұрын
Very good questions 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 The rhubarb is macerated in alcohol which extract both flavors and color. I couldn’t find anything about the time it is soaking in alcohol or if any additional coloring additives is used but I know that they don’t use any artificial additives. The flowery sense is just my “interpretation” of the taste as I taste it. There isn’t any flowers in the gin but that is often a combination of flavors that creates a new one. Thanks for watching and for the comment 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

@@highongin that makes sense - I wonder if it is macerated in neutral alcohol or the distillate from the Gin itself. Either way it’s a nice shade!
@highongin2 жыл бұрын
@@BrazilSaint I would guess a high proof, neutral spirit as this gives the clearest taste and therefor a bit easier to work with when they did the development. I love the color - and when it is in the bottle it is even prettier 🤩♥️👍🏼
