I watched my late Weim teach her pups a few manners when they got too boisterous with her - very cool to see! And they still loved her lol

Just subscribed. I LOVE your clear directions. Do you have or can you make a video about getting them to stop jumping please? I have a 2 1/2 yr old male shepinois. He does great with most commands but omg I can't get him to knock off the jumping! Help! 😆 Thank you!

Thanks! Why not punish the jumping?

AWESOME LESSON!💯💪👍....bottom line don't mess with a Malinois!

Nothing wrong with them being schooled by an older more experienced dog. That's either a big Mali or a small Shepherd.

Really amazing!

Great content, as always. What if the dog that is being annoying don't mind the corrections of the other dog, that is smaller and deliver ineffective corrections? Would it be ok to "empower" the correction with an e-collar for example?

Depends… Could work or could turn bad. Hard to say for sure without knowing the dogs 🙏🏼

What do you suggest doing when the older dog is over correcting aka hard bites to face drawing blood? The puppy was def annoying the older dog but it’s hard to tell when the boiling point is near

I wouldn’t put those dogs together honestly

You're awesome man! Work is keeping me out of your live streams lately. Im very interested in getting a tervuren puppy, malinois are too intense. I do rucks (weighted hikes i wear a 20lb backpack) 3-5 miles almost daily, unless it rains cause then Koop gets very lazy. In your decoy experience do they have any bite power? I will be doing IPO with the terv

Thanks! I don’t generalize when it comes to breeds. Totally depends on the specific genetics. This is like asking, ‘are guys from Ohio nice?’ Some are and some aren’t! 🙏🏼

Alright thanks! Im not looking for a champion just to have some fun so should be fine. Biting and holding is scored heavily isnt it?

Yes, definitely know both dogs. I have one dog that has anger management problems, she gets mad and will just keep going after the other dog. So I have to correct her. Worst part is she is a wimp and would get her butt beat.😂

With my luck, the correction would happen and my dog would snap. Ugh!

Snap?

@@AndyKrueger I think they mean break...? I guess the point here is that you wouldn't ever have two dogs play like this if you didn't know them 100%... And you couldn't call them back or break it up with one word. So no chance of either dog getting hurt physically... or emotionally!

I hate pushy dogs like that GSD. I know another GSD with the same tendency to hover around dogs’ space and ignore more subtle body cues from those dogs. Then, when the dog corrects the GSD, it reacts in more of a fight rather than backing off 🤦🏻♀️

Just curious how you’d handle say a young malinois that was the harasser and the other dog let’s it happen and doesn’t correct the young dog
