When I lived in Elmhurst, I'd come here all the time. My dad's office used to be in the Professional Building. Marshall Field's, Lord & Taylor, and Nordstrom were my favorite stores. Always a great place to walk around and people-watch. Thanks for the revisit!

I used to love the Macy's at OakBrook Center. Both my daughters and I got our make up done by aestheticians at the beauty counter on their wedding days. They did a beautiful job. Also, I love the Maggiano's Restaurant there. Our family and friends had many bridal and baby showers there, not to mention dinners out with the family. Wonderful memories!

I should have said Marshall Fields, not Macy's. It was pre-Macy's.

My most visited mall in the Chicago area, I would sometimes even take the bus from my hometown Oak Park, my favorite stores were Nordstrom and Eddie Bauer, I also went to the movie theater a lot and ate at Houlihans restaurant

Best outdoor mall in Illinois by far Sucks the Kidzania and Sears plan didn't go through in retrospect but they did a good job subdividing the former Lord & Taylor. A survivor mall for years to come
