No matter how many times I have listened to this beautiful, seductive love ballad, I still crank it up loud and sing with it. "Sauvecito" is not only a great song, it is probably the best love song ever written and performed. I have been a fan for more than 50 years since I was a teenager.

The singer and songwriter of Suavecito was Richard Bean. His great great grandfather was Judge Roy Bean, according to his bio. Richard later organized the group Sapo after his short tenure with Malo.

Unfortunately this is not Richard Bean who wrote & sung the song on the album when it first came out, he left the band by the time this show aired, however after Jorge left Malo they reunited & formed the Jorge Santana Band with Bean singing lead vocals. This was the Disco area & my favorite song on the album, was Sandy. Google it & enjoy!

Yo apenas escuché bien esta canción, letra, y música y la he escuchado tantas veces y es que me parece una canción con tantas cualidades, tal como lo es la suave y clara voz de Leo Rosales mientras toca esos tamborcitos digo yo o timbales la forma de vestir es que en si el video y todo lo que lo compone es una pieza histórica. No termino de decir lo que veo y me gusta esta Obra . Ese estilo peculiar de cantar y alargar las palabra NEVER al comienzo de la canción y la palabra FEELINGS más adrentado en la cancion.

It was a short lived show from early to middle 70s, which had stars like "AL Green , Grass roots , Paul Revere and the Raiders , Billy Preston, Bill Withers and alot of others , it was hosted by Kenny Rogers and his band , I believe it was on CBS Channel 2 in N.Y.C.
