She reminds me of a lady I used to work with, when I was first starting out. We all worked in an Asian restaurant, she worked daylight, us younger sort would start about mid-afternoon. She'd cook a little meal for us to make sure we had something to eat before we started. The owners would fuss sometimes, but gods help you if you tried to stop her. The kids ate, period. And we were all her kids, and we loved her dearly. She's where I got my first taste of all kinds of dishes. Including one I haven't seen anywhere, it was a kind of sweet, dessert-type noodles. I can approximate it, but I've never gotten it just right.

Watching this right after Marion’s Thai fried chicken video made me realize that both of them: - said that they like the chicken thigh but you can use breast too - used the mortar and pestle to remove the garlic skin - used a chopstick to test when the oil is bubbling and is ready for the chicken Like mother like daughter ❤️
