Pro tip for biscuits when living in the south put them in the fridge over night and bake them in the morning. Gives time for the dough to rest makes the butter super cold and gets them crispy

IF you want to use the spiced rum in the french toast, you can get mini bottles instead of a 'normal' size bottle. Also, for day old bread or anything where you want it extra crusty to absorb liquid better, leave the bread open. When I make dressing for Thanksgiving, I year the bread a day or two before and leave it out to dry out until Thanksgiving morning.
