You’re fantastic in so many way and I’m a subscriber too. I’m a senior person, a fairly good cook and still do often pick up tips when watching your videos. It helps with my Cantonese too. I noticed in this video when you were making the dough for the wrappers, in the English subtitles, it said potato starch. After resting the dough, in the subtitles, it said cornstarch although potato starch is specified in the ingredients list. Please clarify. Thank you for all the wonderful recipes, keep them coming.

Hello Mama Cheung, thank for a great Har gow video. I have finally successful ( though the pastry are still too thick and the folds are not as beautiful as yours) after following your recipe step by step, though I managed to make only 12 pieces instead of 16. I had failed badly in the past following a Gweilo channel 's recipe. Their amount of ingrédients were all wrong and my dough fell apart like crumbles. I love your way of using hot boiling water, which really strengthens the dough and prevents it from cracking. I live in France and have no way to enjoy fresh Har Gow unless I drive a few hours to a Chinese restaurants or buy the frozen ones. Now that I learned from you I don't need them anymore. Would you like to do a video of roast duck? I crave for it for ages. Thank you so much and keep up the good work 😊

For any of you first timers trying to make this for the first time, it is so hard!! This is my second try (first time was with a different recipe). This one was definitely better but I still struggled so much to get the skin thin enough and also it seemed like 1 tsp oil is too much for the dough because it ended up being too slick/not sticky enough to hold properly. I couldn't figure out the knife and oil technique so I used my tortilla press LOL which helped but it still wasn't thin enough.

I failed miserably with my attempt too! I saw a recipe that called for wheat starch, rather than potato starch. It also called for 10 minutes of kneading, rather than a few as this video calls for. I will keep trying as the nearest ones I can buy are 3 1/2 hrs drive away.
