EsNa was a major part of the early Mamamoo discography as a writer, during the next album you'll hear the song aah oop which she said she wrote for herself but was convinced by RBW to do a collab with Mamamoo, the way it was promoted was different to what she was told, in the end EsNa left RBW.

Piano man still my favorite, and they perform during the encore concert, with love lane too. Anyway, it was a emotional encore concert, wheein finally cry which not her usual self. My everything (ost) sing by solar, wheein and hwasa was very emotional song

Just a small advice for Pink Funky album reaction: the song 'Sting' (also known as 'A Little Bit') has no Moonbyul part in it but there is a live version for which she added a rap part (it's the vid where they're sitting, with live band behind them). Also they go ham vocally, so win-win.

moonbyul isnt in quite a few of the older songs, she was kind of underutilised (in my opinion). I kind of feel like they wanted a rapper, because all groups have them, but didnt really know what to do with her because mamamoo is a vocal group?? The songs are still so good though, i would just love to hear what they would do with some of them today now they know all of their individual strengths!! So glad you got to see them in concert too 🤩

In the video about the concert you said that you would react to Byul's album for the second part today. I just want to know if you will upload it today at some point to wait or not for it.

I started to do the More Mamamoo-nday but I got so tired and I was falling asleep during the recording. I just stopped and went to bed. I will be recording later this morning and will have it up Tuesday evening.

This video is from their live stream concert during covid in 2021, which I did see live when it happened. These 2021 versions are all on the I Say Mamamoo the Best album. I also was lucky enough to see them Live in LA a couple weeks ago and they used the 2021 versions where they used the older songs. And yeah, they sound better in their late 20s and early 30s now after more than a decade of singing together and just the voice maturing, I love every song, all 400 or so, but I definitely prefer the remakes of the older songs because they sound better.

I see that lot of the pushback you've been getting is from long-term Moomoos. I think it's hard for those of us who have been following Mamamoo for 9 years to take a step back emotionally because we've seen the change happen in real time. In the beginning, btw, fans could not sing higher praises for RBW. They were praised for such smart business moves as a small company and giving Mamamoo more perceived freedom than most companies. A lot of the recent hoohar is about Mamamoo not being promoted properly. Unfortunately that's just what happens when a group is near the end of their contract/post re-sign. The company wants assurance that they'll be able to survive without Mamamoo, so they're concentrating on their younger groups more. I used to get angry about this a lot, because it really feels like a waste of potential when a group is really popular but the company refuses to invest towards the end of their contracts *cough 4minute2ne1f(x)*. I understand the frustration, but this is what kpop companies do (unless you are Dreamcatcher Company, which is just a complete anomaly). There are more solid reasons to be disappointed with RBW. You just heard the amazing eSNa's jazzy rich voice. Let me tell you a story about how RBW treated her. In the next album, you'll find yourself listening to a song called 'Aah Oop!'. eSNa (who was already seeing success as a songwriter for other artists at the time) wrote this song as her solo debut. RBW forced it into a collab track with Mamamoo. eSNa wasn't super stoked about this because the song was very personal to her, but fine. They then told her that if she wanted to perform with them on stage then she had to lose an absurd amount of weight in a very short time. Not okay, but the stupid diet culture is unfortunately a part of kpop. She managed it by starving herself and taking laxitives, got to perform it onstage only once before RBW told her she was cut from promotions and Mamamoo went on performing the song without her. She was cut because people were bashing her looks (bit rich coming from the company who championed putting talent over looks). eSNa never got a proper debut and was basically left to waste away until her contract ended. Oh, and to top it all off, eSNa wasn't originally credited even though she wrote the song. If you would like to see her talk about all this, she addresses it in her youtube show Not So Classy. She talks about all the little ways the company disrespected her during that time as well. I was actually pretty shocked when all this came out 😅. I remember being confused as to why eSNa disappeared during promotions but thought it was due to her being busy or something. Not trying to be a debbie downer here 😅 I always appreciate and enjoy your reactions and opinions and I'm really looking forward to seeing your reaction to the next album because every track is 👨‍🍳💋 Also on a lighter note, glad your first listen was the studio version, but the live performances of Love Lane are so good regardless of the bad audio! New harmonies, Moonbyul rap, them pissing about onstage 😂, hope you get to watch some of their university festival performances in your own time

Fans need to stop conflating their personal feelings with the member's one/two-liners or micro-expressions as feelings of distrust and unhappiness. First of all every word written and spoken is in Korean and many of us depend on volunteer fan translators. while I 100% appreciate their time and effort, these translators also have their own spin and opinions on issues, so if you follow their Twitter account but don't want to find your own truth then you're just parroting whatever's out there. Many of the times the company will not be issuing statements, and if so they will be in Korean. International fans will dissect a translated Korean PR letter and give their own opinions on the words. Some fans can easily find fault in a perfectly factual letter. That's scary. Now even the official translations (KOR-ENG) are not always perfect, so maybe read with a open mind instead? Once in a while a native speaker will speak up but not everyone gets to read that explanation. However these will always be just 1 sided-conversations with no clarifications on what was written or said. You got to have a dialogue before you can form a honest opinion. Which fan out there has ever done so? Do I even need to bring up the Moonbyul Second World winner's performance date concert clash? Moos insisting Moonbyul is still hurting from being left out of the vocal line when in actual fact Moonbyul has already moved past it? This is fan agenda and what those fans want. Nothing to do with what members want. I remember during this fan debacle Moonbyul sent out a one-liner along the lines of "nothing to do with me", and immediately those fans were "Moonbyul agrees with us!" Well to me it seems it could mean something different but no translator wants to say it because they were all on board the rights train. Any issues at work the members can work it out themselves. There is absolutely no need for fans to drive an invisible wedge between artist and company.

Don't know what you said on RBW that people hated? They are a terrible company. Many companies with artist have love and hate relationships. But I'll say it again if I haven't said it here. RBW and their PR and marketing is atrocious! I went to the NYC part of the tour, the 1st stop of the tour. NO LIGHT STICKS! The shirts.... just concert dates? No faces of the members, no group photos? Albums, limited, no autograph memorabilia? I mean, this was a total disservice to them. 2 days of rest in between, smh. Nyc, major market. No radio or TV interviews to introduce these ladies who are unfamiliar to them, to the WORLD! The lack of TV and radio spots to promote the tour was laughable. The fans did more promoting than RBW. SORRY to many of other fans, they are better than TWICE. BLACK PINK, RED VELVET AND GIDLE. There presence onstage is unmatched to said above, their vocal ability is top notched to the point that when they botch lines or points in the songs, it's applauded. Where many would frown and wouldn't let down that moment. Nobody's perfect. I've seen the others sing, they song ok, it's just They're presence that the other performers are there so you let it slide. Hey, your just happy to see them. But Mamamoo can trigger emotions in you, that these artist just can't. I haven't been this touched emotionally with there voices, not since I've seen Luther Vandross in person and that for them is a high compliment. I'm 43, and they have brought out emotions in me, let they did you. A quality that I have not witnessed since the 80s. They are one of a kind. And hopefully people won't take the shots of the other artist personally, I am fans of all those groups as well.

That's just it. They aren't a horrible company. The logistics of merch is usually handled by different vendors. They receive an order, and if production for some reason gets delayed or doesn't meet the deadline, or there is a problem with shipping that is out of RBW's hands. It is kinda foolish to think RBW has a warehouse just filled with merch and bring it with them on a tour. That is not how the business works. The ladies then are given a certain amount to sign and then have to go through the sound stage prep, eat, outfit and make-up, then whatever pre-show rituals they may have. As far as rest and dates. These venues are also sports arenas that had college. Major league events and other events, so it is not like they have a huge choice in selecting perfectly spaced performances. Now as far as radio or TV interviews, Mamamoo aren't fluent English speakers and I am not surprised that they didn't want to be put on the spotlight with radio shows that ask stupid questions and put them on the spot with no real sustenance. Because I have seen a lot of interviews where the questions that are asked are some generic BS questions, usually aiming more at rumors and gossip than anything relevant. I don't think there was any disservice to Mamamoo. They put on a terrific show. Again, it took over as my top concert I have been to, and I have been to hundreds. I stood in probably half a mile line and bought my t-shirt with their name and the tour venues and dates, and I was happy. People are complaining about prices, well again, 3rd party merchandisers, the labor to sell them, and a need for RBW to make their profit as well. That is the cost of commerce.

But I guess the dissatisfaction of RBW is mainly because when there's comparisons with the rest of the groups under RBW (younger groups, since MMM is RB's 1at group), MMoos saw the difference in how MMM were treated/promoted. Not saying you weren't right, just that there are more underneath the surface that aren't seen because MMM members are really lowkey and really nice people. But long term Moomoos had seen too much that the girls expressed subconsciously and all the small bouts of moments that the girls were unable to keep their emotions in check, which caused many Moomoos to start voicing out their dissatisfactions, which caused many KPOPers to blow the whole situation up. 😅

Just a few instances (recent events because they are more emotionally expressive in the last 2 years) that were more clearly seen when the girls were upset but tried to keep their emotions in check or tried to take situations in their own hands (especially Solar) 2021 Nov when Hwasa was promoting her Guilty Pleasure comeback, she mentioned that she was not ready to release the album, and I'm a B wasn't supposed to be the title, but the company pushed for early release and she had to use I'm a B as TT. Also, she was not familiar with her own album and the things that she wanted to be included in the album were not how she planned (it was visibly seen at how flustered she was when she tried to explain her inclusions because they were not how she planned them, and she had to make up reasons on the spot on why the items were the way they were) 2022 Jan Moonbyul was promoting 6equence, but her radio show company (NAVER NOW) did more for her than RBW, RB even released Lunatic 1 hour later (did not release at 6pm kst, she did not even know this happened, until fans told her about it during her Live streaming, and she had to apologised for it, even though it was not her fault), luckily Hwasa was at Moonbyul's radio show (Studio Moon Night) supporting her, to the point the Byul was comfortable in jokingly (or not) saying that her company is now NAVER. Oct/Nov 2022 When MMM were promoting MIC ON, RBW only posted minimally on here (YT), they did not even bother to use the exact same content posted on YT and post them on their other major social media accounts, e.g. Twt, IG, FB, Tiktok. During the fansign when fans finally met MMM together again, fans asked about this and the girls were surprised, because they said they had filmed A LOT of shorts and challenges to be uploaded. Solar even spoke into the mic and asked the staff if that was true, and verbally, in front of everyone, asked the staff to post them on IG and Tiktok. Up till now, nothing had been done, even though Solar asked for it personally in front of everyone. 2nd instance: When RBW announced that MMM will be starting their first every world tour (after 9 years!!! when their younger groups already started touring within their 1st year), fans wrote emails asking if RB will restock moobongs, RB replied (and these were proven with screenshots by MMoos) that they do not plan to restock at that time. Moos had to ask the girls directly during fansigns and social media, Solar was made aware of this, and she posted comments saying she'll take care of it. Only after that comment, did RBW release posts saying they will be producing and restocking moobongs soon for pre-ordering.

Sorry for the long post, but just wanted to add that because RBW is a "small company", MMM are too nice and does not "make drama", and Moomoos are too nice and friendly and did not "make waves" (compared to other groups from non Big 3 companies), there weren't really much news or articles talking about all these problems that only the long term fans saw, since these instances were only seen privately between MMM and MMoos. It's not that these didn't happen because you don't see articles about it, it's just that no one bothered to write about it. Luckily, there is 1 place now where they are allowing fans to write articles, and some MMoos had started using it, that's why you are seeing much more information about them now (e.g. Hwasa's food being eaten by RB staff and food+gifts were not handed to H, MMM having a hugh debut success in USA, etc.), which after being posted on that site, other sites had started to mention these stories as well.

@hq3727 My question: Are these articles written by Mamamoo themselves, or are they articles written by MooMoos with a preconceived perception that there is a wrongdoing? There is a big difference, and how rumors and gossip tend to get inflated and then compounded by every mistake that happens turns into a huge evil plot to hold Mamamoo back, etc. To comment on the younger groups, these groups are more in line with traditional Kpop. I don't see Mamamoo as a traditional K-pop group. They debuted as musicians first. They were promoted with other traditional musicians and not a stereotypical debut like other groups from their generation. I think RBW saw the trend, and because Mamamoo was doing fine with what they were doing, they gave more focus on promoting the newer groups to help them get known faster. They most likely saw how their choices were made with Mamamoo and saw the need for a different strategy. Again, the Mamamoo US tour broke records, and their name precedes them without the need for huge fanfare and massive advertising effort. Word of mouth from the fan base was more than enough.

It seems to have become fashionable to bash RBW lately. Of course, the more they see negative comments, the more they pile on. No, RBW is not perfect and there are things that annoy me but after watching what goes on with other groups at other agencies, I think RBW is among the best. People want them to be bigger than Twice, Black Pink and Red Velvet or it's RBW's fault. The girls seem happy and they're free to leave if and when they want to.

Yes, I really do think that people think because Mamamoo has gained some recognition that it equates to a huge increase in finances and the luxuries that bigger companies have. Those companies started with more capital and had a different business model and plan. I honestly don't think RBW ever intended to be the next SM or YGE. I honestly think they are happy being a smaller company, producing good music, and recruiting good talent. I watched Mamamoo's 9th anniversary vid last night, and I saw 4 very happy ladies looking back on their past, and I didn't see anything that would make me think anything different.

@@seattleinsomnia Actually RBW are quite a big company now, even acquiring other mid sized labels. Obviously they're not big like the Big 4 but they are probably the 5th or 6th biggest now. Last night's 9th anniversary video was less flashy than previous ones and I think that's how Mamamoo likes it but to give you an example of things we long term Moomoos are not happy with RBW about is not having English subtitles at the time Mamamoo content is uploaded, when RBW upload Purple Kiss content with English subtitles straight away.

I mean if my agency told me they're not gonna be promoting me anymore despite our group being the main money maker of the company, then yes the outrage is deserved. All agencies suck, rbw is no better. Did you see what they did to H's guilty pleasure? Yeah right. It will be a wonder if they convinces her to stay.

​@@seattleinsomnia they released a chart of their inidividual takes/experiences for the past 9 years, they're not as happy as you think they are. They're not even buying them good songs now but who knows, the US tour was a great success despite no promotions and half-assed budget and it seems something shifted so I hope the girls will be prioritized more now.
