YOU BE YOU and stay close to those who lay GENUINE love on you. Such a beautiful song from a young man who already seems to understand what is most important in Earthly existence. It helps to bolster my own belief in what YOUR generation will bring to this "rock" that includes 69-year old VH fan geezers like me who, like all humans, must make our individual way, whoever our parents happen to be. ...looking forward to more Bro coz all the young dudes carry the news! I'm not sure if Wolf will ever read this, but I hope he does. I was fortunate to see him perform with his dad 4 times. Twice on the 04 tour and twice on the 07 Roth reunion tour. One of those in 07 was the 5star VIP package i purchased for me and my dad. We had backstage passes with front row viewing on the show. We were on the top floor of the venue in a clubhouse bar when I decided to go smoke a cigarette so i was heading down towards the outside of the arena when i bumped into a gentleman with the same plan as me. We went into the elevator together and somehow ended up on the wrong floor as it took us to the ground floor where the dressing rooms were. So, we started walking the corriders passing the road crew and production people until we ended up in the open arena behind the stage... I was freaking out cause we weren't supposed to be there. The guy I was with say's, "lets go under the stage behind the apron and smoke, then grab the elevator before anyone notices". We ducked under the apron and low and behold, who would be sitting there on a milk crate with a teenage friend from his school he brought on tour? .... Wolfgang. He thought we were road crew guys and paid us no mind as him and his friend were laughing at something on a cell phone. We eventually started talking to him and he realized we weren't the crew so we said we should head back. He said "That's probably a good idea because if my father catches you under here, he's gonna flip out" lol .. We made it back w/o any issues and enjoyed an incredible show. To Wolf, I am very sorry for your loss. This tribute to your dad was amazing and I know he would be proud. Hang in there champ, you're gonna be ok.

Does anyone realize that Wolfgang Played every Instrument, including Vocals, on this song? Been sitting on the shelf for a couple of years. Finally found the appropriate time to pull it out and touch it up. Videos are from Valerie's personal collection. Vocals were arranged at Wolfgangs studio, and the Instrumentals were put together at his Fathers 5150 studio. Wonderful introduction song and tribute from Wolfie Van Halen. His Debut Album to be released in early 2021.

The greatest thing about the videos is seeing just how committed Eddie was to Wolf. He loved his son with every ounce of his being. Nothing got in the way of Eddie's love, and that last video at the end made that point clear. Not drugs, not alcohol, not touring, not even cancer could stop Eddie's love. Heartbreaking but heartwarming at the same damn time, man.

Sobering to see our childhood guitar hero/idol being a gentle loving father to his only son. Just proves that no matter who your are or become in this life, how famous or wealthy, liked or loved, no matter how influential or powerful, there is nothing that can ever take the place of the love between a parent and a child and EVH was all of those things but most importantly he was a great dad to Wolfgang. I'm a 53 year old father of a 4 year old beautiful little girl. I'm so glad I didn't make it off this planet without knowing what it's like to be a dad. There's no connection stronger or more enduring than a father's love. Thank you for sharing these memories. The torch has been passed and you're carrying his spirit on with a humbleness and grace about you. He's proud of you, I promise.

Those last 20 secs ....😢..I lost my mum around the same time as Eddie passed and because of the pandemic, it was all about the phone calls as visits were problematic. But despite the literal distance , the calls were therapeutic to myself and mum . Thank you Wolfgang for this song , it meant so much. And I look forward to seeing you play in Glasgow on Thursday.

Hey brother I don't know if you will ever read this, but I wanted to tell you that this song and you have truly touched me in a profound way. At the same time you lost your father, my mother was in the hospital fighting for her life. She did make it and is struggling to get better, but this song says exactly how I was feeling and still feel. I am so sorry you have lost your dad, I grew up listening to VH and will continue to do so until it is my time. I play drums and have played several VH songs in bands over the years. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, your mom, Alex and everyone that VH left an impact on through out the years. This loss is one that leaves deeply changed forever, but man how much more amazing your dad mad life by changing the musical landscape for all eternity. You are a fantastic musician in your own right and I hope you carry the mantel for the rest of your life. I am extremely impressed with your ability and can't wait to see what you have in store for the world. God Bless You and thank you for sharing your heart in this time of need.

There’s no doubt, out of all his achievements, Wolfie was Eddie’s pride and joy. His son was the only thing that could pull him away from the music and just allow him to be who he really was. I believe if you made him choose between being a musician or being Wolfie’s Dad, Eddie would’ve smashed every guitar he owned. I really believe that!!! Also, what an amazing song!!! Wolfie’s voice is something special!!! I just want to hear more!!!

I wish ALL dads showed this much love and affection to their children. Regardless of your status in life, celebrity or not, what is REALLY important in life, is not your money or career but your family and your loved ones. When the money is gone and the job is over, your family will always be there. Tell them that you love them and make as many memories with them as possible because THEY are your true legacy.🥰 It's obvious that he loved being a dad, as much as he loved music !!🎸🎸❤❤
