This is the eeriest bodycam footage i've seen. Could be straight out of a horror movie. Pitch black road. Officer patrols alone. Man bleeding all over his body slowly approaches officer. No backup is coming, officer is still alone. Still alone, walking with the mysterious hurt and drugged man. This is so crazy.

I've only known of one person in my life who took acid, well over 25 years ago, and he tried to kill the people he was at the party with and S/A 2 women for sure, the police thought there were more, just not from that night. I wouldn't want to come up against someone who was as strong as this guy was in the video alone, not knowing when backup would arrive.

I see people are blaming this officer how about we go back to when this guy, who's clearly having a trip from hell, decided to jump out the truck he was in. Imagine the person driving had turned around and got this kid in back in the truck and taken him to hospital...... this situation wouldn't have happened. I've taught my son you never leave your friends especially if they're having a rough time you leave with them and go somewhere safe and if someone picked him up you should have taken him straight to the hospital while calling 911. This office did everything right with someone's having a bad trip and it's terrifying because they make no sense.

It wasn't this guys safety he was thinking about. If it was he could have taken hin into custody for his own well being. This cop was hoping he would confess to some crime that would bring the cop glory for an arrest. The truth is most likely the guy had not even committed a crime of any kind yet, he was just high AF. A cop that truely "cared" about him would have taken him into custody to keep him safe. Instead he tried to talk him into "telling his crime" and gave every opportunity on earth for things to go wrong. That cop should be fired.

The policeman left his cruiser unlocked, with a loaded rifle on board, which was stolen by the druggie, causing the wreck. The officer allowed the druggie to walk down the middle of a pitch black road, maybe while waiting for backup, endangering himself and other drivers. . This is the second NM police video I have seen with an officer all alone on a remote area, in a very dangerous situation. The other one was worse, a pregnant, female, lone cop trying to arrest a dangerous drugged out loonie, that was about to wrestle the officer's gun away from her. Lucky for the pregnant officer, a male citizen with fighting skills put the doper in an arm bar and saved the life of the female officer and her unborn child. NM is a dangerous place to be a cop.

That guy didn't need help, he needed immediate arrest the moment he decided to walk from the officer. Had he just cuffed him and stuffed him, this wouldn't had led to New Mexicans from having to buy a new cruiser for an idiot cop who didn't lock it up before walking away from it. He was too involved in wanting to be Abraham's "Bro", instead of just arresting him and controlling that situation from the beginning. The problem is that some law enforcement spend time trying to pamper criminals and pretend to be their friend when the criminals have no intention of being buddys with law enforcement. That's WHY they choose to be criminals, 'cause they have no respect for the law and they victimize others. I say, send Abraham BACK to Mexico and don't let him cross back in and if he does and gets caught again, stuff him into a desert prison somewhere busting rocks with a hammer.

@@glenturney4750 Cops are either too aggressive or too nice, this instance WAY too nice. The cop did everything wrong, he COULD have helped Abraham from stealing and crashing a car if he just DETAINED him while he investigated. Definitely spent WAY to long trying to be a Bro. He should've followed in his car at the VERY minimum with lights on. Instead of following him down the road and leaving his car with raw materials inside like that. Anyone could've stopped, and taken the car(prob would not happen but you get my point). Insane video overall!

This man doesn’t even know how close he came to dieing. These cops have a whole other level of patience and actual training regardless of the mistakes made for trying to be compassionate to this guy who clearly admitted he wasn’t in the right state of mind.

Thanking ALL the police/law enforcement officers for your service. It is a dangerous job dealing with so many sick and evil people out there. The worst part for us is that we don’t know where they are and they could be all around us. That’s why I never leave my dwelling before praying for God’s protection. Please do the same. My respect and prayers for all. ❤

Well deserved too. I'm betting he's a border jumper from below and now the Dem's in New Mexico get to cover his costs for illegally moving in, doing his dope, crashing into people, possibly taking others lives, but "YAAAAY DIVERSITY!" Liberals and Dem's have no common sense and will never learn it.

I started getting nervous for the officer after he’d left his patrol car and was just following some dude on acid down the highway in the middle of nowhere. I don’t know if that was ballsy or just stupid. I would have just followed in the patrol car. That’s not something I’d want to be too far from in this situation.

I'm surprised he wasn't charged with the destruction of the vehicle, as well, and not just for the taking of it. Glad he's okay, though. The police everywhere really need to be trained to take the car keys with them whenever they leave their cop cars, as this is the third video I've seen of this same kind of situation. IMO

It sucks because most cop cars still require the use of a physical key and don’t have key fobs to lock them. For security reasons it’s understandable but they really need to come up with a better system. K9 officers leave their cars running for their dogs to have heat and AC, I think it should just be for everyone so the vehicle is secure from being stolen but still able to run air and lights. The cars get stolen way too often.

I think he caused all of this. Uneducated in negotiation with suicidal people, not even knowing Abraham is not Spanish but along with his daughters name, barred from drugs & alcohol most likely muslim(Islam) thus his disgrace & knowing he'll be banished from religion & family. Uneducated cop. Who then pushed Jesus & priest on him. That's a catholic thing. Other Christians don't even use priests. He was scaring the guy away. To do it. Cornering him in a sense. Called an Arabic name Spanish. This cop has never even read a Bible. Muslims and Jewish don't believe Jesus is important. Nothing the cop said or did was helpful, only harmful. Even his tone and walk chasing the guy.

He calls put he's got a broken leg as they pull him out mostly unconscious yet the female and another male still violently shoved their knees into the backs of his leg/knee area. That was entirely unneeded. Mega props to the initial cop. He is what our countries cops should be. TO SERVE AND PROTECT. NOT INTIMIDATE AND HARASS.
