The kid is probably a first-time adult offender so he was let loose. I didn't say he shouldn't be treated as an adult and yes he acted criminally. I also didn't say that I liked that the charges were dropped; on the contrary I mentioned a way that he could have been held accountable without ruining his life. I get so mad when I watch these body cam videos and see these people having their charges dropped. It’s so disgusting and that is exactly why there is so much crime and battery on police. They are not held accountable for even minor charges, even though they should be held to the felonies more so.

Dismissed the charges!?! The Liberal District Attorney here in Cruces is a joke, either he plea bargains everything or dismisses the charges completely. There was a guy here charged with 60+ counts of sex acts against a child and the DA plea bargained it down to 1 count and 12 years in prison. What a fucking joke!!

@@jackson865z contrary to what you may believe, the prison system in NM (Inmate wise) isn't as hard on sex offenders as other systems. I worked for the DOC for 11 years and pedophiles and rapist very rarely were dealt punishment by other inmates. They were cash cows and were allowed to remain in general pop for extortion purposes. I was stationed in NM for 4 years and it was honestly the worst years of my life. One of the biggest considerations for why I was so miserable was the crime rate and his lenient they are there with their significant criminal element.
