@user-co1sk2jv8b Well as long as Robert didn't do anything crazy, there's no reason to shoot him. @@user-co1sk2jv8b While I agree that the homeowner obviously knows his way around a firearm, from the video, I doubt the homeowner and his GF knew about the previous nights events yet. They said this was only a few hours after the shots and search, and that he and his GF had just returned from work to find him there, so they almost certainly hadn't yet heard about what had happened the previous night. I'm sure if they had known about it, they would have been much more alarmed immediately when they saw the insulation and mess, and not assume it was a raccoon.

I worked the mug room at my county jail. I took a lot of unusual booking photos, including some where the arrestee was absolutely coated with something when brought to jail. One guy had been caught by the family of a young lady he was essentially stalking. He was chased down a dirt road, and tackled in a patch of talc-like dust. In his mugshot, he looked like he'd been dipped in cocoa powder. He actually begged the cops to arrest him to get him away from the family. Another guy ran from deputies in a rural area, and jumped a fence...landing straight into the manure pit at a stockyard. Booking a dude covered in BS is exactly as bad as it sounds. The oldest guy I ever booked (age 92) was cold in the holding cell, so he wrapped himself in TP. When I got to him for pictures and prints, he looked like the Crypt Keeper.

@@fiona9443 No, I left the jail to go work for Probation...and try and stop a few people from repeatedly going in and out of the system. I got hired by the county to work in an (at the time) unused jail building which was going to house federal prisoners under a contract with the county. It was a big hiring deal announced in the newspaper. A couple of thousand people showed up at the convention center auditorium for a written test...followed by a background check and interviews. I was one of only 30 who made the first cut and got hired. And, yes...I have tons of amusing memories...and a lot of tales of trauma and crime. My best guess is I did between 40 and 60 thousand sets of prints in the years I was in the mug room...and I also used to frequently work the housing unit for behavioral problem and psych patients...always a source for weird stories and behavior. Law enforcement jobs also take a lot from you, however...in the form of trust issues and job stress.

@@fiona9443 No, I left to work for Probation. The jail job was just listed in the newspaper. The Feds were going to rent out an unused county jail building to house federal prisoners...so the county needed a bunch of detention officers. A couple thousand turned up at the convention center for a written test...followed by a background investigation and interview. I was one of 30 who made it through. I got the mug room job after I transferred from the federal facility to a county one. Our department was very early to adopt a digital fingerprint computer to take the prints. I got tapped to learn how to use it and became quite good. I did between 40 and 60 thousand sets of prints before I left. Yes...there's a lot of stories to tell...but they came with a cost. Trust issues develop when you're dealing with bad people all day...every day...and I've know my fair share of bad people also wearing badges. I got out with (some of) my sanity still intact.

@@Pluto_Is_A_Planet_ -- About 35-40 years ago I read a paper in a psychiatric medical journal that theorized that part of the reason multiple personality disorder (which is now called dissociative identity disorder, and is NOT schizophrenia, but a completely different disorder) can be more common in people who grew up in rural communities than in suburban or urban ones, was that predators could more easily commit their crimes against children in places where the closest neighbor is too far away to hear a kid crying for help. Not sure if any other studies came to the same conclusion, but it is food for thought.

@@TakenTook I have no doubt about that. I grew up in one of those very small towns with less than 500 people, and even though most people had the mindset of it being safe & even left their doors open at all times, there was still occasionally crimes, like robberies and stuff, because people knew who left their doors unlocked. Everyone knew everyone, so most of the addicts who were looking for something to steal knew which houses would have valuables in them, and knew it would be fairly easy to get in. After there was a triple homicide & abduction of two small kids near our town, people started finally realizing that maybe they needed to start being more careful.

There's no getting out of that here unless you have connections. Around here it's not about having powerful connections. @scarletamazon34556 ай бұрын
I doubt it. He started taking shots as police were climbing out of their cars, and you want to blame hallucinations? Oh, and he just happens to have killed someone before, but this time, he was just out of his mind! But was canny enough to hide the weapon... Nope. Far more likely he was deliberately shooting at the police, but too high to aim accurately and fortunately didn't kill anyone this time.

Did anyone else notice that Robert is the luckiest guy in the world-considering the very poor decisions that he made. He got away from the police without leaving any evidence behind, and then his grandma covered for him. He could have very easily been taken out by the police. Then he sneaks into an armed man's attic, but doesn't get shot or even screamed at. The police were all super nice to him, and his only injury gets him a ride to the hospital instead of being cuffed and stuffed into the backseat of a police car. He was probably pumped full of free morphine, and who knows if he will ever serve any time. It makes me wonder if it was dumb luck, or if he has a guardian angel. Maybe his sneaky grandma prays for all the time. 😂

@@SVD_NLExactly. And I've seen guys go batshit insane with xtc more than with anything else, like walking in circle and talking to themselves for a whole day insane. But only with using them constantly. When used every day your tolerance builds up and very soon, like couple days in you need to take a handful to feel anything and that really messes up your brain bad. These are things that we should tell kids in schools because no one is taking them seriously when they are told "every drug makes you immidetialy go crazy" then see their friends take them and not go crazy.
