This happens ALL THE TIME. No evidence required, the kids words and little tears is good enough. it is so shameful to see that his sentence was almost 3x longer than the three child predators combined. he honestly came off as so collected and although i don’t condone hurting other people, it seems like the helplessness of knowing that the justice system isn’t doing their due diligence by appropriately prosecuting and sentencing these men can drive people to take matters into their own hands. i hope he’ll get the chance to appeal, as i don’t think he deserves to be in prison for so long, maybe therapy and a program would help.

Sometimes "hurting other people" is not just justified but morally required. The fact that we don't at least administer beatings with a cat o' nine tails is the crime here, not this guy going after literal rapists. Or the time my babysitter's husband smashed my hand with his shoe because I knocked laundry off the sofa I was sitting onto the floor. Didnt remember the short bus or getting locked in a treasure chest. I also related to somehow to remembering the early childhood, but getting to keep the low self worth. Up until recently I used to help train kids in martial arts for 20+ years. And while many looked up to me, my main goal was for them to NOT turn out like me. It was only within the last decade I realized I blanked out 5 years, when arguing with a female friend at work that you couldn't remember things at 3, you started at 5. She won. Things started to make more sense. Why I thought it was odd, when asking to buy flavored chapstick my mom said, "Only if you promise not to eat it this time!" I thought, "Why would you eat chapstick. Does it actually taste like Rootbeer?" I got home, did a full circle around the house and took a little bite. Pitoooiey! Yeah, wasn't good. But, I could have eaten it a week ago, or 2 years prior. When I was younger, I’d have the same view as yourself but as I got older and stopped committing crime, I started to realise that a lot of officers responded to me in the way I responded to them (aggressively) when they were attempting to arrest me. I was a violent youngster who would fight most weekends and even though I’d never hit an officer, they were warned I was a violent person so would come in force and be brutal. Some of the officers I’d get to know because of the amount of times I was arrested and they’d treat me good which I respected.
