Lake Nasser in the south of Egypt is one of the largest man-made lakes in the world. Before the creation of Lake Nasser, crocodiles were on the verge of disappearing in Egypt, a country where the predatory reptile was venerated in ancient times.
Egyptologist Salima Ikram narrates the folklores of crocodiles in Ancient Egypt; why crocodiles became venerated along the banks of the Nile River, the birth of the crocodile cult which went on to mummify the reptile, and how its body was used medicinally.

True , unlike the Nilotic crocodiles that are hyper , aggressive and wreck havoc on both human and animal populations in East Africa , the crocodile race existent in West Africa is much more docile . Thus , we have several tourist sites in Ghana and Burkina Faso where the object of interest is the crocodile

The river systems of West Africa at that time were connected to the Nile. You can still see them under the sand on Google Earth. These rivers are on ancient maps even up to the 1600's. The woman was lying about not knowing how the West African crocodiles got there😂.There are Nile crocodiles stuck in Mali West Africa showing how West African rivers once connected to the Nile with people and crocodiles going back and forth. Only the "Nubians" in Egypt still venerate crocodiles because they are the original inhabitants of Egypt. In West Africa they ride crocodiles and keep them as pets seeing it as SACRED. The Arabs and Western Asians came into Egypt killing crocodiles because this respect for them wasn't their culture. The cultural connectivity of ancient Egypt lies in the Nubian population and the rest of inner Africa.

The crocodile 🐊 over population can be solved for food shortage issues. The deep fried crocodile tails tastes like fish, the skin can produce more hand bags!

I’ll never understand why people who live in slums and poor areas are dirty, I would clean the place up and make it clean. They might not have much but at least make the place look decent.

I was traveling all over Egypt and Jordan in October 2021. The guest house in Giza was dirty, hargarda was ok, Luxor and in the Aswan - Elephant Island was cleaner run by Egyptian -Nubian. I made short video of my journey, you can check out on my profile and let me know what you think?🙂
