Man of Steel: Hero's Flight Game Review

To make a superman game good 1. Make him have a stamina bar instead of health. The more he fights and takes damage, his stamina goes down. More minor threats, like a thief won't take it down much where as lex luthor or a big villain that can punch superman through buildings can bring it down more. When superman gets near kryptonite it will go down faster the closer he is. As it goes down he can't do somethings. He becomes weaker and isn't a stable flyer until you let it regenerate. 2. He can pick up cars and lift up a part of the street to through stuff, but he is slower 3. Turn to Clark kent. With phone booths around the map you can change to Clark Kent and "investigate" stuff. As Clark Kent, your stamina will regenerate faster, but you are limited in powers. You can only use X-Ray vision and will "take damage" from robbers if they try to shoot you. You can still fight back if you want. 4. Buildings. Superman can only go through buildings with bigger enemies. If he isn't fighting Lex luthor or doomsday, he can take them and through them into a building and drag him through. Same can happen to him. Afterwards the hole will be replaced with construction workers and beams and will slowly regenerate over time. Faster if you are in another part of the city.

This really captures the essence of a great Superman comic book, where he's flying fast from point A to point B. Sometimes you get those lame comics where he's fighting bad guys, but those are the exception to the rule.

it's impossible, His powers are too difficult to pull off without Nerfing him cuz he is pretty much a cheat character, Rocksteady made a great batman game because Batman is pretty much a video game character. Batman can die, Batman frights like a Human, Batman has fun gadgets and vehicles. Superman has ALL the hax powers. Barely anything can hurt him which takes away most challenges, unless you pit him against OP characters like Brainiac and Darkseid all the time, which if you read Superman comics, SUCKS because we all know that's not all Superman does

I would love to see Rocksteady make a Superman game. They did great with the Batman Arkham series, and I’m sure they have the money and manpower to pull it off. I guess the only problem is to find a common thug level enemy strong enough to beat Superman, because let’s get real, a normal human thug would have a better chance at killing Batman than Superman.

There actually was a pretty descent Superman game sometime in 2002 i think. It came out for PS2 and was called Superman - Shadow of Apokolips. It was set to the animated cartoon show and way better than that horrific n64 game. I played it quite a lot when i was like 16. Go check it out.

Making you fly up when you press up and making you fly down when you press down isn't normally a big issue if you are on-rails. Kid Icarus: Uprising is a great example of this: Kid Icarus: Uprising: Tutorial ...Actually, why not do a Superman game with this kind of gameplay? It would work. Well, in comparison to flying through rings.

There was one thing I didn't understand in the movie. Both Superman and Zod took powerful hits from hitting buildings and stone boulders at over 300 mph, without a scratch, but they die instantly from a neck-break.

The last Superman game I remember liking was the arcade version when i was a little kid in the 80s...&that was because I didn't have enough quarters to play long enough to see how truly repetitive it was until I did on MAME a few years ago lol....Always thought it was funny in co-op you'd have 2 Supermen playing at once, the 2nd player with some red suit & grey cape =P

Imagine this: Last scene of Man of Steel where they are all flying through the buildings, hitting each other into space and shit. Make that but in Unreal 4 with beautiful visual effects. Now add some aspects from Mortal Kombat, such as reactions, ultimates, and blocking. Now add all of supermans powers, lasers, super punches, etc... Now add flying and environmental damage. Now make that 2v2, 4v4, etc.... Anyone think that would be a good game?

The reason superman cant really have a good game is that he's just TOO strong I love superman he is my favorite character ever but his powers and abilites just wouldnt translate well to a video game world... they either need to make him severly nerfed beyond belief to give us some sort of a challenge or find a way to shit in near infinite amounts of people as strong as him, and then the health system alone would be hard to do. Superman cant really die ever so a health system for him is bogus and if you make it the city like that Superman Returns game then just fighting other villains would kill "you" over time. I wish there was a good superman game though

I agree fully. Superman really shouldn't be having games, as cool as that concept may sound, if you make a game on him, it would be a game that is far too winnable because he can't die, is too strong, and is practically too perfect. You only ever have to get half of what superman truly is, or you get a game that offers no challenge whatsoever. Maybe you could figure out methods of killing that person or whatever, but you could never lose a fight simply because the health bar is either infinite or nonexistent, and even then you could just bullshit your way through it, so a proper superman game just won't work and the abilities and such featured would defy completely what makes a game work.

It would have to be strictly objective based, which is entirely possible. Making the right choices with several ethically difficult decisions. Your choices would change the city, who lives/who dies, and ultimately effect Superman's popularity/morale. It would have to be a very philosophical game that might reflect Superman's inner struggle to do as much good as possible in a world where so much bad stuff happens.

The flying is so Nintendo 64- the cape is old school “fruit roll up texture, the graphics are ps2 - only two good points about this game is he can fly through buildings without bumping into it like Superman returns ( where it slows down his momentum) and at least he can finally fly into space. Somewhat.🤷🏾‍♂️

And another moron pulling the Superman is a murderer card. First of all, murder is one human killing another. Superman is an alien, so murder doesn't apply to him on earth. Second, Zod was the one doing all the destruction. Superman couldn't get him to stop, plus Superman was inexperienced in terms of fighting someone else with the same amount of strength and power as him. Superman was put into a difficult position where casualities were guaranteed.
