Brooke is amazing, very inspiring and great attitude. I have friends who are female aussie cops in central Sydney, it wasn't easy when they first joined years ago. I'd feel very confident if Brooke came to rescue me. She must inspire many girls, and guys too.

I completely understand where you're coming from. I get wanting to believe in your faith, but it wasn't God that flew the helicopter or lowered the spine board or even saw the man on the rocks to begin with. It was trained professionals that helped their fellow human. They deserve to be thanked for their hard work.

I love how close the lifeguards are; they're practically best friends. The look on Whippet and Kerrbox after he makes a break for it, gets caught and turns around with Whippet swinging beside him was priceless. Pure joy. It's very wholesome! =D I also find it nice that the tourist who, after being rescued, asked questions and educated themselves on how rips works; how to avoid them and how to escape them. It's wonderful that they actually bothered instead of laughing it was a meer scratch.

It’s nice to see the guy who wanted to learn more about what to do if he got caught in a rip. Usually the people are just like ‘ok great thanks’ and don’t know what to do if it happens again. But he wanted to learn more about what causes a rip and I think it’s because Brooke explained what a rip is quickly. She’s an amazing lifeguard.

I brushed off lifeguards when I was like 10 and caught in a current, the lifeguard asked if I was good and I said yep; then swam against the current for 3 minutes, and asked for help. 😂 the lifeguard just sat there watching me and I thought he was being cocky so I remember so well I was determined to get out myself.

A crowded beach like that is my worst nightmare. I tend to stick to off season to avoid it. Love the ocean, 2 million people, not so much.

Stay away from southern California then. I've been there during all 4 seasons. Never have I seen any beach there not busy.

@@lostmocha0526 Nope, “chopper” is common American slang for helicopters too. Now “ambo” for ambulance is definitely Aussie.
