@@jaklg7905right! That’s why for the LIFE of me, I can NOT understand why ppl complain about filming. I personally have NEVER seen a person in danger, where someone filmed vs getting help. Ironically, EVERY case of someone dying because they didn’t get help, it was due to people thinking ‘not my business’ & walking away. I just don’t understand how people don’t realize that it’s very possible to 1- dial 911 THEN begin filming and 2- film & ask someone else to call 911. I’ve also NEVER seen a video where there was only ONE bystander filming themselves arriving on scene & doing nothing other than filming. These videos usually always begin in the middle of the incident (meaning there was plenty of time for 911 to be called). Also when someone is seriously injured, you can make things WORSE, if ur not medically trained. It’s actually BEST to call 911 and let THEM tell you what to do vs doing it in reverse. Also like u said-filming is beneficial in numerous ways. NUMEROUS

@@gingerl2995 no, but Im friends with people who have diagnosed NPD, and it’s heavily misunderstood. Not invalidating what you suffered through, but to characterize every person with a disorder the same way isnt right. I see it done the same with BPD too, and other personality disorders.

@@goobert5485 amazing because I know more narcissists than I care too and not one of them would ever admit they have any issue or need help. Even if you drag them there they wouldn’t stay on treatment plan. I’m sorry but no mental diagnoses can convince me these people aren’t vibrating at the bottom of the scale. They enjoy seeing others suffer period. In my decades of research have never seen one rehabilitated. Not one. I respect your opinions but these people literally all have the exact same playbook even use exact same phrases. There is more to this than a diagnosis. As the old timers would say… these are the wolves in sheeps clothing. And the evil we were warned about but because there is a “mental diagnoses” it’s made them a victim. They are not! I’ve seen and experienced things supernatural with these people. This goes much deeper than people realize.

@@goobert5485allow me to enlighten you as someone who spent years prosecuting DV cases. Most abusers had in common the key traits of narcissism, regardless whether clinically diagnosed yet, with some also falling diagnostically in the category of antisocial personality disorder (sociopathy). You chose to needlessly split hairs over a comment that was never made. The OP didn’t say “all narcissists are abusers” but rather “abusers are narcissists,” which is accurate. Can you understand the difference? I can explain it like I do now as a judge when speaking to a jury but I’ll trust you can grasp this distinction and try to be less sanctimonious and confrontational over nothing in the future

It was horrible, thankfully i got out of that years ago. My heart breaks for the woman. I already know all the feelings shes going through including victims guilt..we think its our own fault usually..i hope she gets help and away from that evil man..thank you and everyone that helped. I never got help sadly except for my decision to give up and leave. The moments when people show they care always helps the victim

Me as well. When we went away the abuse became worse because of accusations of me being flirtatious or even if someone looked my way. It wasn't happening that way, but there was no way of convincing him - he didn't see it that way. I left that relationship years ago, but when I see this it triggers memories and I can only imagine what that women went through that night. Thanks for bringing this out Jay. I agree it’s so important to be selective about who you plan to cruise with. You know what kind of person you’re married to, or dating. If that person gets upset about any little thing, then don’t think he/she will be different on a cruise!!! That situation could have easily ended up in that lady loosing her life…. man oh man, that's insane! I had to intervene in a number of situations like that when I was private security guard....I was a contractor and the head of security for the client (I was at the same client most of the time) would tell me I was supposed to observe and report, but San Jose Police would pat me on the back and say I did everything they would have hoped for me to do. Of course, when I was in the Navy, not intervening would be considered dereliction of duty, but I guess in the civilian world some think it's ok to wait 5 minutes for PD to arrive while a guy kidnaps his ex-wife and their infant son. (that's one of the situations I was in as a private security guard! And that head security guy chided me for intervening to keep them apart until PD got there! I was like "dude, by your logic I would have observed and reported a kidnapping. Sometimes a man has to do what a man has to do.") Always nice to meet a fellow Real Man who feels that protective instinct. 🙂

Not an event expected, but you never know the ulterior motive people may have when planning a cruise. It's a blessing to see other travelers step up and help. My hubby and I had an argument in our stateroom on our recent cruise to Alaska, but we solved the issue in the room. There was never a thought to hurt each other because the things you say and do can have consequences. If there are not any good vibes with people that you are planning on going on a trip with, whether by ship, train, or plane, don't go with them, even with the hope that the interactions will get better. Whatever it is I have always thought that if you are dating someone and want to know if you can make it for the long haul you should go on a cruise together..see how that goes.

Oh my goodness! In April, my husband and I were on Carnival Conquest. We were in the ocean on the way back to Miami, the couple down the hall from us was having a big go around! They had been at it all week! The cruise was only 4 days! It came to a head, and they were fighting and screaming. They were on the balcony, and the furniture was moving around like he was trying to throw her off the ship! The sad, sad part was they had a kid with them that went running down the hall screaming for help!! They had issues BEFORE they got on the ship! It came to blows on the last night. It's so sad that people think a vacation can fix problems that are just too far gone to fix. I hope the young lady is ok and the guy gets what he deserves!

Back in I think 2018 we were on an Alaskan cruise on Celebrity and a pricess ship was basically following us everywhere, the Ruby I think. At one of the stop there were tons of cops at the dock and the rumor was that some guy killed his wife and was in the process of trying to dump her body overboard when security finally got to him.

Totally agree you kept that 💯 and it needed to be said. My sister and I just got back from a cruise this week and we had the time of our life but I would not have been able to enjoy your cruise which is anyone in one room for five days thankfully it was my sister and it was amazing. Thnx I will continue to watch your KZbin channel.

I genuinely hope this lady is able to enjoy the rest of her cruise safely. And my god I pray she doesn’t go back and she finds someone who respects her. Everyone in similar situations deserves better. Also, that gentleman who leaped balcony’s is hero. He may not feel like it, but without him, who knows what her attackr would have done.

@@arleneaugustahair8393 by enjoy, I mean being able to relax a bit knowing that he can’t hurt her. I’m not saying she should party it up or go about the cruise as normal! But rather even just staying in her room and trying to relax as best as she can given the circumstances. Or if she chooses to go out and about, to just get out and walk around. Easier said than done, especially going through such a terrifying situation. It at least gives her time and space to hopefully figure some things out and maybe make a plan. At least, I hope she does. Not sure what happens when they port at the next location but hopefully given the severity, he’s turned over to land authorities.

I can attest to the fact that if you have relationship problems in your daily life they WILL follow you on a cruise. You are then stuck with them for the duration of your cruise and both of you will just be miserable. If you are on the outs don’t take a cruise together because you will just be wasting your money.

J, in a similar vein: I used to lead wilderness canoe trips. The outfitters printed in their list of do’s and don’ts - do not take this time to try to quit smoking! Yes, it creates stress but it also makes you less aware …. not a good thing in the wilderness!

What’s crazy is how often people take their S/O on cruises to actually “get rid” of them lol . The fact there’s a whole show with a couple of season dedicated to that is outrageous. Thankfully that wasn’t the case this time 🙏🏾 &’d ol boy who jumped balconies to help …. He’s the friggin 🐐

This same thing happened to me on the MArdi Gras back in June a young couple next door was fighting and she was screaming at the top of her lungs and he was threatening to throw her overboard and the part of the ship we were on it was almost a straight drop down into the water. I went knocking on the door trying to distract after I called security…they got quiet but started again. Security came and the next day the room was empty - the day after that we saw Carnival staff in the room packing there belongings and this was like day 3 of an 8 day cruise. I felt sorry for the young lady but glad they were gone b/c they were affecting my vacation peace and quiet!

As I see it, if two people have relationship difficulty together on land, their issues will only magnify in the more confined circumstances of a cruise. No matter how spacious their stateroom, they’re still forced to share its limited space, and can only spread out by a couple of hundred feet at most, even across decks. Kudos to you, security, and other passengers for intervening and the ultimate arrest of the domestic abuser. Without it, the victim might well have met an untimely end. Too, I’d hope the cruiseline would strongly facilitate her with local criminal reporting and then fly her to where she needed to be immediately. She’s in great danger if and when the guy is free.

I'm glad security responded at all. About a year ago my friend was on MSC with her family and she had problems with a group of rowdy passengers, reported it to crew and security and NOTHING was done. The trouble makers acted up the entire 5 day cruise. They were reported several times and NOTHING was done to make the complaining passengers more comfortable.

I didn’t have my contacts in so I wasn’t sure exactly what happened but I told my son I’m sure Jay will . Thank you for the video and I am glad she’s ok . I have a friend (who has since passed) that told me she was on a cruise a few years ago with a bf that beat her senseless. She said no one called security and all they did was yell through the walls to quiet down. She said no one questioned the bruises on her face the next day. She was held captive in that cabin and unfortunately never sought help when she could. Alcohol was the main factor-Its great this neighboring cruiser got involved. He deserves a commendation-
