Might be unpopular but I believe Ronaldinho is the most talented player ever, he hit highs for a couple of seasons but based purely on ability I don't think there's ever been anyone better.

Great conversation. Agree that United have a cultural problem. Academy and elite football is so structured that creativity has been/ is being strangled out of the game. The amount of games is definitely impacting on injuries and quality. TV money and the club's hunt for revenue from it's customers has led to these increased demands.

We do have a PFA equivalent in Spain and they're usually very vocal in media when these issues come up, perhaps not to the broadth needed to have a strike but don't rule it out. We too have politically active clubs like Liverpool could be in Rayo Vallecano and Osasuna and others. Glad Rio brought up the overseas examples in the NBA etc cause it doesn't talked about enough. This chat was brilliant and loved all the details.

Surprised the question wasn't about Arjen Robben. Robben started negotiating with Kenyon when he was at United in 2003. He signed for Chelsea in 2004 after Kenyon had moved.

Considering 99.9% of players don't play more than 25 games a season I don't think there is a problem with too many games. The only times there is a problem is in huge clubs with huge amounts of players and the managers not rotating the squad. Start rotating and giving the youth players more games and everyone wins.

I was 11 years old when the Ronaldinho deal was happening and I was really excited for weeks. My auntie turns on ITV news and his face with the Barcelona badge comes on. Instead United signed Ronaldo so it didn't end badly.
