not many games will be able to handle this type of video style. This will be one of a kind from butch. hopefully he keeps an audience but it will understandably a different feel going forward when below zero is done. Maybe sons of the forest or any other survival crafting games are possible but not much else lends itself to this styling. I hope im wrong though.

First time I played through, I stayed with mommy emperor until she lay peacefully. Had a very special relationship with my own mum and lost her to suicide some time ago. Cried when mommy emperor finally succumbed. I felt her relief. It was cathartic but tragic. Butch-your feelings of sympathy and care are shared. You seem like quite a guy. Thanks for helping me to re-experience this incredible event through your eyes. SN means a lot to me because of this bit, and revisiting it again for someone’s first time is incredible. Rock on, cpt. When I first clicked on the "Subnautica: The Movie" in my recommended panel I figured "this'll be good for a nice laugh, to watch some random idiot scream at a screen for a few hours." Maybe 10 minutes in I was sad how much of the mundane stuff got cut out for the narration, so I went to see if maybe if it was just a 'for the movie' thing, and found the entire series as separate videos. Seeing the runtime was longer I chose to watch that instead but man. Now I've grown to absolutely adore the narration style, but I was still pretty sure I was only just going to watch this one series, MAYBE Below zero, and then move on. But that transition between series was so clever and so smooth, you have earned yourself a permanent subscriber. Keep being amazing, Butch. You are such an inspiration.

Not going to lie man, you had me misting up a bit there at the end. This isn't content. This is art. Dramatic, funny, and self-aware. An amazing sense of cinematic flow, and timing. I have played through the game an (admittedly) absurd number of times, but I have never once launched the rocket. Even as a kid I wanted to be a marine biologist, and I've never been much of a people person, so the reality is that I never wanted to leave 4546-B. I understand why you needed to push that button though, and I'm glad I was along for your journey.

We are back where we were. This is my second time watching this series, and I'm confident it won't be my last. I adore this game, and watching it is easily one of my favorite things to do because you get to experience everything that is unknown with each replay as if it were the first time. What an absolute joy this LP was to watch. I will admit to deriving a great deal of humor from your struggles, but it was also immensely satisfying watching you overcome your fear. As an emotional vampire that longs to experience this game for the first time again, but never can, LPs like yours are my only window to that experience. I don't really have Thalassaphobia, at least not to the degree you do, but I certainly would tense up every time I had to look at an opaque wall of emptiness (the first time I looked down from the floating island was certainly an... experience).
