This video covers using different talent sets for different benefits. I have other videos on specifically setting them up. The main thing to keep in mind with talent sets is the importance of getting to VIP level 10 for the 3 free memory slots and for the free resetting of talents. It is also important to remember to focus on 1 tree (economy, military, or balance) for each memory set to maximize the effectiveness of that tree. I hope this video helps answer the many questions I get on when and how to best use your talent sets! So, after some tinkering - here's what I recommend: Balanced : set when idle - as that's the one with the passive Stamina Replenishment, Healing, Training Traps, and Training Troops. Military: Attacking another player, Battling in Arena (and setting defense), Hunting Zombies and Lairs, Setting troop formation, and Stealing in the Pit. Economy - Building, Gathering, and Researching. The reason why you set for Balanced is cause the game has a slight quirk. Boosts from your talents are set when you initiate an action and those boosts remain until the action is over. For example, your Military Boosts remain with your troops once you give them the marching order and remains until they return to your base. The same applies for building and gathering speed as well. Gathering Boost applies as soon as you've sent your troops to a resource spot, the boost remains until they return to your base. Test it out, be in Economy and march your troops to a resource tile and check their gathering speed. And then switch to a different set, you'll notice the gathering speed is still the same. The same applies to building as well, once you've begin to upgrade a building - the remaining time just counts down from there no matter your building boost from any source: heroes, Nova, etc.

Do u need to stay in talent set until jobs are done? While in a particular talent set are the other boost still working passively from the main screen of the allocated talent points? First page Cmdr Talent? Thank u in advance and great video tutorials

Hello i'm not vip10 yet. I see i can have 1 saved only, right now my pts are scattered. Does that one save mean i can have additional setup to what i currently have? Or if i save one that means my current setup will be reset to that?

What is the best way to use your talent if you are at level 8 my economy is at 51 military 13 balance 8? Did not research before just doing. Thanks 13:08

So how do you go about getting more commander talent to extend your trees?

Raising your commander level by getting commander experience. Easiest way is attack on destroyer. You get commander experience from zombie lairs. Attacking sanctuaries, upgrading HQ etc. Good luck!

How do talents like Swift Gatherer and First Aid work? Do they have to be activated before gathering or for first aid before an attack or before healing?

So swift gatherer you want to use after your troops are all on tiles. Then whatever they are on the will gather the max they can and return. If you use it before you gather it won't do anything. First aid on the other hand you have to use before you attack or get attacked. However it only works on casualties. It converts casualties into wounded like miraculous healing does but it has to be activated before the damage is done. Instant heal on the other hand is the talent you use when you have wounded but before you heal. Hope that helps.

So can we train troops, switch to economy and start construction and change to military and keep the benefits?

Basically yes. Some of the talents only apply while ur in that talent set (the ones that don't have the special frame around them) and some once the effect is applied, u can switch out and it still applies (the ones with the frame around them that u have to actually hit use on to use them and then they have a cool down period before u can use them again). The basic idea is that when u start anything (build, research, training, gathering, etc), u want to have the boosts activated for that activity before u start it, but then u can switch back to a diff talent set once the build/research/train/gathering has begun. Does that make sense?

I don't really use mine. Not much need for dual speciality. So maybe train/ heal?

Thanks for the tip. Btw, for those skills that we activate for reduce building time or training, it only works if you start building or training after the skills is used? Like for eg if I was already building and use the skill does it reduce the remaining time?

You have to use the skill or speedup item before you start the build, research, train, or gather. If you use it after nothing will happen.

@@ValenceRing True, I'm assuming that for gathering with Econ talents, I need to keep it Econ until the troops arrive and start gathering before switching over? Or does it still work as long as I have Econ when sending them off. Thanks for quick reply (Y)

So there has been some debate about this. But I'm certain that as long as the econ talents are set when you SEND the march those boosts will apply even if you switch out before the gatherers land. The way I like to think of it is, if i have military talents set and start a march or rally, then switch before the troops land (or in a rally before they even march) it doesnt take away the extra troops that I had for my troop size boost. So why would it take away the other military boosts. The simple answer is apply boosts before you initiate the action. Once initiated all the boosts will apply until the action ends regardless of changes you make. There may be special cases where this doesnt apply (like sanctuary skins falling off in the middle of a march) but I still believe the stats you initiate with are the stats you end with regardless of what happens in the middle.

Hiya, a question: we're talking about boosts etc but still some talents (those without frame) i.e. reduce building time as a permanent effect - do those features go off when you switch to other setup? Lets say building time is 10hrs. Balance setup makes it 8hrs. Boosts within this setup make it 7hrs. All activated, started building and now you switch to other setup - does that time relate now to 8hrs building or 10hrs as if without talent effects (boosts will still apply I believe). Hope it's understanable :) Thanks for answer

Once you start a build (or research or March) whatever boosts you have applied will remain until that action is complete regardless if you switch talents.

So which talent should I be on most of the time ? Economy, military or balance

What are you trying to do is the more important question. Building stam to raid lairs? Balance. Worried about going to war while afk? Military (or balance in some cases). Trying to get enough rss for that next upgrade your struggling with? Economy. All are useful depending on what you need.
