Managing Commander Talent Setups: Puzzles & Survival

So, after some tinkering - here's what I recommend: Balanced : set when idle - as that's the one with the passive Stamina Replenishment, Healing, Training Traps, and Training Troops. Military: Attacking another player, Battling in Arena (and setting defense), Hunting Zombies and Lairs, Setting troop formation, and Stealing in the Pit. Economy - Building, Gathering, and Researching. The reason why you set for Balanced is cause the game has a slight quirk. Boosts from your talents are set when you initiate an action and those boosts remain until the action is over. For example, your Military Boosts remain with your troops once you give them the marching order and remains until they return to your base. The same applies for building and gathering speed as well. Gathering Boost applies as soon as you've sent your troops to a resource spot, the boost remains until they return to your base. Test it out, be in Economy and march your troops to a resource tile and check their gathering speed. And then switch to a different set, you'll notice the gathering speed is still the same. The same applies to building as well, once you've begin to upgrade a building - the remaining time just counts down from there no matter your building boost from any source: heroes, Nova, etc.

Hello i'm not vip10 yet. I see i can have 1 saved only, right now my pts are scattered. Does that one save mean i can have additional setup to what i currently have? Or if i save one that means my current setup will be reset to that?

How do talents like Swift Gatherer and First Aid work? Do they have to be activated before gathering or for first aid before an attack or before healing?

So swift gatherer you want to use after your troops are all on tiles. Then whatever they are on the will gather the max they can and return. If you use it before you gather it won't do anything. First aid on the other hand you have to use before you attack or get attacked. However it only works on casualties. It converts casualties into wounded like miraculous healing does but it has to be activated before the damage is done. Instant heal on the other hand is the talent you use when you have wounded but before you heal. Hope that helps.

Basically yes. Some of the talents only apply while ur in that talent set (the ones that don't have the special frame around them) and some once the effect is applied, u can switch out and it still applies (the ones with the frame around them that u have to actually hit use on to use them and then they have a cool down period before u can use them again). The basic idea is that when u start anything (build, research, training, gathering, etc), u want to have the boosts activated for that activity before u start it, but then u can switch back to a diff talent set once the build/research/train/gathering has begun. Does that make sense?

There are talent memory slots that you can use to quickly switch between setups that you want to use. You get 3 when you hit vip level 10 and free resets as often as you like.

What are you trying to do is the more important question. Building stam to raid lairs? Balance. Worried about going to war while afk? Military (or balance in some cases). Trying to get enough rss for that next upgrade your struggling with? Economy. All are useful depending on what you need.
