Thats a good point. While it can definitely make a difference the nanoweapon boosts are passive (all of them) so if you use the hero or not their nanoweapon boosts are still good. This was mostly in reference to the heroes for match 3 gameplay.

I can't remember if she is a time released hero but I think she is so she won't be available for a while. You will be able to obtain her from the Joy coin event. Save your coins until you have 50 so you can get the guaranteed win. Good luck!

Mantis' 2nd ability is even better than resetting the field. it basically hampers the enemy and removes debuffs from your side. good stuff

Speaking as a player around 40M might, I have Fox, Mars, McCarty, Meyers, & Agent X in my lineup. Agree with everything you’re saying. The Fox + Meyers combo is so good. Agent X is incredible in UC, arena, and campaign. This lineup has a good balance of offense & defense for me.

I’ve just been playing for a month or two, I agree Fox is definitely very helpful! Just wondering, for arena and UC would you say it’s better to put Fox in the lineup or Eve? I have both and since Eve revives like Mantis does, I always have her in my lineup.

Fox and Eve are both strong and useful healers. In some cases it can help to have both. The biggest help from fox is she removes debuffs. Eves bonus is that she increases rage Regen rate (and has the chance to come back to life). Once Fox is fairly strong she is usually more helpful than Eve but it's always good to mix it up and try each to see what works for you.

hey I have a question about Atropo. Do you need to take her as one of 5 hereos when goinn on HQ attack/have her as one of the defense heroes on your wall to benefit from the effect? Or is her bonus boost passive?

She needs to be in the lineup for her skills to work. So if you are defending your sanctuary she has to be on the wall. If you are raiding a sanctuary she has to be in the march.

Would you say that these 5 heroes together as a lineup are the ultimate heroes for Arenas/UC? I understand from your explanation that you're also considering the troop skills, so the answer might be no. I'm trying to find the ultimate lineup which works for UC/Arena and have very useful universal troop skills (either economic or not troop type specific) seems quite difficult.

I agree with Fox, as she defines the meta, because both her ability components, (the huge shield, a strong heal), each demand an opposing team answer and shape the constraints of the opposing team and thus the meta itself. Two answer-demand abilities in one card is always top 5 material. For me that is what M doesn't bring; it's whether any two healers are interchangeable, it's the double demand constraint. McCarthy is...very awkwardly meta-positioned; teams are already required to bring a buff clear to deal with Fox or Ulrik shield(s) or Pheonix DoT or other cards, and McCarthy's DoT debuff gets swept up as collaterally dispelled. He is also very much not free of opportunity cost - spending your pit earth on him means you are not spending in on Glory marks for Get Week's glory day (which is going to want 10m+ earth every two week) - those McCarthy frags come at the direct expense of Pheonix frags (!), and glory army percentage boosts. Not a fan of him gracing top 5 for that reason. Well, also Slow rage speed as a speed. It is definitely deep late game where one is gradually caring significantly less about rage speed and 5-ability combo become more of a thing. Mantis is...solid. Contextually belongs on some arena teams and is a sub-optimal crutch on others. I see a lot of earlier world misuse of Mantis, where he is supposed to be good, but players just kind of thrash about, use him a lot, never actually break though the opposing team's defense/heal to kill a card, and gradually succumb. Ironclaw seems like the better top 5 pick, and I found myself wondering if he isn't on your list primarily because of his acquisition difficulty. I think of Mantis as a utility role player, as far as type and role, and not offensive per se, and I come across people in alliance chat that seem mildly astonished and then thoughtful at the utility role-player description. Also, I have the impression a lot of player lean on ability mana drain, rather than develop their subtler board management skills to manage the timing of opponent team rage. If Mantis is essential to slow a card to get enough damage in, then sure. If mantis is merely helping a player manage timing, consider doing the same management with the board while also having another card's ability set swapped in for Mantis... Mars is fine, kind of a tie. Obsidian is more powerful, but subtler to use. Both are just necessary to use well in a meta where you run into a lot of blue Fox, or, especially in earlier worlds, where over-plussed Zephyr just dominates team builds by releasing weeks before properly developed Obsidian + Mantis duo counters are available. Mars defining feature is his sheer damage percentage, in the context of composing to spike enough focused damage to break to backbone of opposing lineups. He isn't good because his ability text reads solid, or his attack buff is X percent, he is good because he fits together with a couple other cards to hit combined damage output thresholds. Imho. X is amazing in UC, and even good at bombing front line when back line is immune, but mostly misused in arena. She is free wins sometimes, because a lack of cleanse that isn't cleansing bomb typically isn't cleansing heavy shield either letting you build a team around X. That said, people saying that a happenstance common Fox blind counters AgentX pervasively don't seem to understand that if you apply the bomb to Fox herself, as the first target, just after Fox heals, it makes her regen mana 50% slower. It's less a question of whether Fox exists, than whether the particular lineup running Fox is such that you can build around X and afford to make Fox the first target.

A lot of good points. You are right Ironclaw probably deserves a top 5 spot but unfortunately for over 90% of the players in this game will never see his full potential. A good portion wont even get to acquire him until months of gameplay. McCarty I agree may be the most debatable on the list. There is a large time period before Phoenix becomes available where McCarty can be leveled up to a decent amount without sacrificing the Phoenix frags (if you choose to save all your rare earth for that 1 day) however I find that the experience for obtaining Phoenix varies and depends on what state you are in. Some state groupings the events for get week are much more difficult to rank. Mantis may be seen as a utility player. Like in MTG you can build a "deck" around a style of play. Based on the current hero lineups and equivalent strengths (based on how the tiles play as well) rage stealers typically dominate in defensive roles. That has more to do with the current options and the ability of the average player. If there was a more diverse set of sub skills and a multitude of "deck" styles or options (red vs blue decks for example) then I would agree Mantis might be considered more utility.

The quickest way (and maybe easiest way) is obviously by spending money but you can do a lot of levelling up without spending anything. It won't be as fast but you can build consistently for free. Just make sure to stay focused on events especially take advantage of events where you can get promote ii materials. I wish you luck!

the toxin bomb is easy to dispell now it if it was an unable to dispell i would agree with u more... I agree with 2 of your five levena with her rage agility does alot more than you think especially at hight levels and it can't be remove and u can use it turn after turn compounding the skill same goes for nam especially against specific heros that 90% of players run in the area

For clarity the main reason agent x gets such a high rank is because her skill is effective even at a low level versus many heroes are only effective at higher levels. But definitely agree that Levina is often over looked. Still trying to figure out how best to use Nam myself.

Yeah, Requiem is a beast especially when partnered with Lady M. Honestly, Agent X is not the great because she is a bit squishy. And her skills do no damage if she dies before it activates. So, for late game we try to focus on rage reduction and rage stop which greatly affects the opponent team’s heal squad and aoe debuff attackers. When using a team like Mars, Lady M, Req, Mantis and Eph…you’d be surprised how much pain you can dish out. Place Mars in between Eph and Req for the added atk buff. You can have some fun

I am happy to see McCarty here, getting him to +6 and with a Apex nanoweapon is great. An additional 100% training speed boost is great. I can do a level 45 lair (not that i do, but i if i could) for only 30 stamina, and I can hunt a level 40 zombie for only 15. But if I use hunt mastery, i can do 10 level 40 on full stamina... which really helps.

Tomoyo isn't as critical as other fighter heroes because she actually boosts troop stats. However if it is easy for you to level her up then absolutely.

Sometimes its hard for me to say with certainty when it comes to particular boosts between 4 and 5* heroes. Sometimes the logical or obvious answer has been proven to be incorrect. So I recommend testing both and seeing which works better. Lairs work a bit differently than other things though. So a good guage is to test the difference on the destroyer every Sunday. Good luck.

You should mention that the game Is pretty expensive. Think about how much you spend Just to have the chance and get the Apex helm. From my pov, fifth Is Meyers, followed by Obsidian, Eve, Zephyr, Phoenix at First.

I actually thought hard on this one - I always used phoenix/requiem as my red. I got McCartys apex at random - I now have +6 him to get the training boost...I swapped out my red for him..WOW ...always used Mantis...so I have mccarty ephraim ulrik mantis even in that order, all +5/6 and 35- red star. I glide through arena :) Currently 30th ! :)

In some cases her special is blocked. But it does take 4 rounds of waiting for it to actually work and it can be dispelled. So if you attach the smart bomb to an enemy an another enemy removes debuffs then it will remove the bomb. So the bomb has to stick to the target for 4 rounds then drops their HP to basically 1.

Whoever decides who is a Figher, Rider, Shooter and Economy is drunk. How do you have a character like McCarty, and he's not a shooter? How do you make Requiem a shooter when she uses a sword and should be a fighter? Why do most of the fighter characters just buff and debuff instead of deal massive damage? Fox is the best hero. You get her early. She heals and and dispels. Try going through the game without healing. AGENT X doesn't even work in chapter 3 3-3.

She usually doesn't work for special events. Especially ones where the HP of the boss is near infinite. Her skill is based on a percentage of HP so is usually excluded in special circumstances.

Agent X sucks. She does not work well in UC 250. Both bosses are immune to bombs. In arena both mantis and fox counter her and one of those two are in almost all teams. Her rally size is also only important to rally leaders, which most people are not. By the time you unlock her you no longer need her. I am sorry I completely disagree. I never used her in any UC. Please do a video on UC 250 and you will see during filming. Or you can prove me wrong.

She is difficult to use for sure and like i said in the video she is critical for many levels of UC but you are right she does not affect bosses in UC 220 nor 250. But that's only 2 levels. I know she isnt everyones favorite she isnt mine either but she is absolutely essential for many things. Id love to see some of your lineups for the inbetween levels of UC if you didnt use Agent X.

Using a fault and not understanding their strong points is kind of looking at it weirdly. Every hero will have a weakness to them. She has worked very well in UC, and campaign... I have passed probably a lot more than i would not have without her, she does help. As for arena, yes, Fox and Mantis are counters, but if you know how to get around them she can take them out with ease as well.

So while she may not work all the time, when she does she works flawlessly. She may not work in every situation, but that doesnt make her suck. I have beaten many arena line ups with her that use Fox and Mantis, and taken both of them out with little problem, you just have to know how and when to use her, and know how to time it. She can benefit when you can use her by quickly taking out the biggest threat in a UC level or campaign before they have a chance to take you out. So while she may not be good in UC 250, using that one example to say she sucks is not entirely giving her credit for the times she works like a charm.
