Items to save for events in Puzzles and Survival!

Everyone playing Puzzles and Survival should be a packrat! Saving items, resources, shards, coins etc. to maximize rewards for events is one of the keys to spending less and getting the most out of your gameplay! Often asked what to save for which events, I wanted to do a general overview of all the items that should be save for most events. (Forgot to mention saving Joy Coins until you have 50 to guarantee the epic hero choice cards). I use Global Ace Commander for the items you need to save as most events outside of GAC will also need the same materials. This is a fairly exhaustive guide but doesn't mean I didn't miss anything. My recommendation - if in doubt, save it! If you find yourself saving something for a while and no use in sight that you need than its probably safe to use without losing any benefits for a particular event. That being said most things should be saved until you need them. I definitely hope this long video helps you better understand what you need to do to maximize each and every event no matter what that specific event is. I will try to cover each specific event in its own video and will go over the needed items for those events in those videos. Awesome helpful vid but you forgot a biggie: Ultimate challenge. Only do those on day 5 of Ace and get a metric butt-ton of enhance mats. By then you should have a big increase in your hero lineup to complete 5-10 or more.

I am a free to play player and the videos you put out has allowed me to finish in the top 20% in GAC consistently and have broke top 5% a couple times. This from a level 22 HQ with 56 mill might. if you save you can finish in the top. Thank you Valence

Great video and there is so much in here to digest so I would recommend watching this video in particular a few times. Will just add a couple of things which I know Valencering knows (I probably learnt it from him)... As well as saving speedups, save your big builds to finish for GAC, start them so that they will finish on day 2 or day 6/7 of GAC and use speedups to finish them, so that you get the points for the event. You can buy a 24 hour Gathering Speedup for 300 diamonds (or 100 for 8 hours), well worth it especially if you only have 2 or 3 march queues Another great place to save your Alliance coins for is for Alliance Showdown, save for the event then take on a task that is for spending 400,000-800,000 alliance coins, easy task to finish for an event that gives you the best overall rewards If you can, save a bunch of your Lair boxes for the Get Hero Frag days, but to be honest, if you have done the AP/Stam day, you will have a ton of Noah Tavern Coins that will probably help you finish the Hero Frag day Hero Frag day is my favorite day - just saying! Upgrading heroes to Red Star is a very satisfying experience! In my own growth, GAC has been the event to help me the most (and Valencering's videos!), highly recommend following it through, then once you start wanting to branch out a little like getting Phoenix/Leah frags as I am doing at the moment, then you will have a good understanding of how to use your resources. Even if you do the bare minimum in GAC event days you will still end up in the top 20-50% and get some good frags. Ranking in the daily events is damn tough - it does take real world money to get up high, but you can get to the lower level usually by just finishing the event (usually 5 frags), it has helped me get Phoenix to +4 to date and I think Valencering did the same, you just need patience!

Absolutely! Great advice as usual and I have definitely switched from pushing in GAC to doing some of the dailies for the other hero frags. Depending on which heroes you need and what events you feel confident in completing should be your indication of which events to work on. Thanx for the extra tips as always!

@@Larkin33 so anytime a sanctuary is relocated to another map for battle such as reservoir war or Nukaland then a placeholder is left in the sanctuaries place so that upon return nothing has accidentally spawned in that spot and/or so no other sanctuary can relocate there by accident or design.

I wanted to asked you about the current event we are having about the Intel Collection, it seems that if you do any level of lairs you still getting 1 envelope and it is pure luck if you actually get a map, so we test running level 35 and level 7 lair and give the same stuff for what we can see. This video had a lot of really essential information. It was extremely useful to me as a new player 11 days in. First ace commander event is mid-way, and as light iap, (small value buys here and there like an awareness builder gear saves a lot in resources), I've been in top10 the first 3 days, and am well prepared as I type this in day4 and for the week. Valance Ring's advice has been working for me. Knowing what to save and not save is valuable game fundamentals knowledge. Thanks for all the work making the videos.

Each troop has their strengths and weaknesses. Technically simply by measuring kills vs casualties (if that is the only measure) then yes fighters are the weakest. But based on other factors I would say shooters are the least "stable" troop (more susceptible to slight changes) and riders result in the most casualties and fighters are the most stable. So it isn't as cut and dry as which troop is the "weakest". In addition fighters are great if you are going against an all shooter lineup. So realistically you can pick any troop to specialize in and it can work for you. I see players focused on all three individually and making good use of them. So choose what works best for you! You can save them for break loose or hero upgrade day. Not sure what the magic number is since it's a random drop.

Thanks for the video, as usual. However, I notice something. As of today, main reward for the global ace cmdr event that shows up on my game client is only Obsidian frags, not the epic hero choice cards like shown in this video. Why is reward offered is different?

So I sometimes forget to mention that states evolve over time with what rewards are available. Since I play daily I sometimes don't think about the difference in day my state (state 16) and a new server state just created. Certain heroes and events aren't released at the same time. A good example of this is the wasteland war. Originally it is called the Zenith Tech Hub war (or battle cant remember) and is only for one state to determine who is governor within a state but after so long it turns into a state vs state battle called Wastelnad War. Similarly, Global Ace Commander initially only rewards Obsidian frags. But once Atropos is allowed in your state (not sure of the exact timeline) then instead of obsidian frags epic hero choice cards will be given as a reward with the option of Obsidian or Atropos for the player to decide. So thanx for pointing that out. Each state will vary (or may vary) in which rewards and events are available to them based on the "age" of the state. So in due time your states events will more closely resemble earlier states. Hope this helps! And thanx for watching and the feedback!

For zombie lair box, which event should I open them? Get heroes frag? Or Gear material? Or module event?

I normally open then on day 5 of gac. That way I get points for all of the enhancement material for gac and I have all the hero choice card drops for the day after gac for her upgrade day. Depending on if I'm very close to levelling a hero to the next level I need I'll also open the extra lair boxes acquired between day 5 and hero upgrade day. The reality is the drops from lair boxes can have a helpful impact on GAC and other get enhancement events but isnt so significant that you absolutely have to wait. Open them when you need to. If you havent opened them for gac then I would probably recommend opening them today because you'll need the choice cards.

After this I will save all up for GAC. You are right, I haven't open my 50 zombie box today because I want to save it for single event like module or gear. One more thing, is zephyr only available for purchase only now? My teammate told us that zephyr is no longer available for event reward anymore.

Gear refiners simply being used counts towards points in Ace. I just confirmed this. Because they increase your might ranking history.

What is cheapest way (you found) to get Ironclaw on +5 upgrade level? I tried to break down some data and it seems to me buy 15$ hero package every day when Lucky Draw is running is most efficient. For 45$ 40 frags. Which is pretty expensive but it seems that other ways are even more expensive. But I'm playing game for few months, so, I expect I missed something obvious.

Ironclaw is expensive. You cant get 40 frags for 45 that i know of. Regular hero choice cards and perfect frags cant be used to enhance ironclaw. His frags are 10 for 49.99 or completing 80 limited offer purchases or you can get 10 as a drop using lucky draw coins. Without getting really lucky it is mot easy to get ironclaw to +5. Ive been playing for over 11 months and my ironclaw is only +3. Good luck

Yes Id wait for him. He drops from uc170 (20 frags - for free) and he is a reward in doomfest divination and lucky draw as well as the very hard to achieve 80 limited offer purchases (in a 2 week period then it resets your count to 0 lol) if i have the money to spare i like to spend it during lucky draw or doomfest to get his frags but even then i think the cheapest i ever spent to get him as a reward was $75. Not counting Scarlett which you have to spend 4.99 to unlock but now you can level up with perfect frags Ironclaw is probably the most expensive hero in game (without a lot of luck and time) but he can be won at least for no cost from uc170.

Do percentile speedups stack or does it just use the highest percent?

Too be clear, if you are referring to the 10% training speedup and the 30% training speedup or the like, they do not stack. However if you have different boosts for the same speedup, for example the gold card has a training speedup boost. Then those do stack but consecutively not cumulative. In other words one is evaluated then the next not both as one. So it's a little bit less than a full stack. Does that make sense?

There are no points for spending marks of glory. There are events that give points for obtaining them but once you have them spend them whenever you want. I probably said so in the video but cant remember lol

You can only access it on an Android. Hit the gear icon in the bottom right hand corner which will take you to your settings. Apple doesn't allow you to claim codes anymore.
