Hate doesn't belong in tool videos it just doesn't exist usually everyone just can't believe how amazing tool is everyone can relate to tool the are all very fucking cream of the fucking crop of muscians. But Danny Carey oh my fuck.

I think the most incredible part of that was how in the very end of it he put the drum sticks down as gentle as a baby.

Yes! This was one I was going to suggest. Watching Danny doing his thing really makes you appreciate how much these guys put in to their music. Love all their songs. Glad you chose Tool to review🙏🏼🌹

Great reaction!!! I’ve seen nearly all the reactions (yes, been spiraling since 92’ & I have no life) and yours is very genuine. I’m beginning to see that the women reactors seem to really feel the song, whether they know Tool, or not. Their reactions have been more visceral and emotional. Love it!!! We need more of this right now...

THANK YOU MANA FOR GRANTING THIS REQUEST!! if you can notice the verse have different patterns each time.. which if you listen back to the recording is there and its quite subtle but you have now seen it first hand of how it was done.. the adlib is the best part you can see the POLYRHYTHM of the drum part.. hope you enjoyed it as much as i did..

You should hear Sweat by Tool. It's 1st track on Opiate. To me, it's their 1st song. It has a hint of everything they've grown into, in 1 short and very sweet song.

I though she was about to say how big is this "guy" instead of this "drumset"

Danny's an octopus. He can play 4 rhythms at 1 time, 1 with each arm and leg
@shaunbryan34214 жыл бұрын
That part in the middle of the song when he's just dancing around the election pads and popping the high hat and I do believe he is dropping a little bit of the bass drum in there!?!? I don't know what else to say but GD Danny Carey FN octopus.
@jonathanlindsey4634 жыл бұрын
at that moment he is using his left foot for the high hat, his right foot for the bass drum, 2 electronic pads with his left hand and 4 drums + one electronic with his right hand... fucking unbelievable how anyone can do all that and not mess up one single time... keep rolling Danny “the octoppus” Carey

Cool seeing you back at it 😁 The "flowing part". Did you notice he plays 4 (actually 5) different time signatures at once? Hihat, kick drum, left hand - and he actually varies the rhythms he plays with his right hand shuffling through different drums. Every corner of his body plays individually. Awesome. Stay safe!
@Castlefreaky14 жыл бұрын
That part is in 4/4. One signature.
@gSWG3R4 жыл бұрын
He's not playing 5 different time sigs hahah, he doesn't have that many limbs to even do so. What he is playing is a 2 over 3 polyrhythm with Swiss army triplets. It's all in 4/4, you just have to pay attention to the tempo.

My own humble opnion ...I would put him in the same class as The greatest..Neil Peart..just how I see it :))
@armchairgravy51484 жыл бұрын
Yes, Danny Carey is like Neil Peart in that way. They can thunder one second and then pull off the softest most complicated fill and then go right back to thundering. That's insane levels of control. Mastering rhythm is one thing. Mastering rhythm and dynamics is way, way harder.

@smoothk7912 жыл бұрын
Please believe me when I say this... I mean ABSOLUTELY no disrespect to drummers like Neil Peart (RIP), John Bonham (RIP), or Mike Portnoy, but Danny Carey is THE best drummer of all time! He can play mixed, polyrythms with a calmness and ease that just cannot be explained in words. Sure, I'm a bit biased because I believe Tool to be the most underrated band of the past 3 decades. They continually thrive and propel forward because they treat their music as pure art! For those that may disagree, listen to Fear Inoculum all the way through with headphones. I dare you... #ToolArmy

It's really painful to watch a video of an instrument being played when the audio and video are soooooo out of sync...especially true for drums. Has to be at least a quarter or a sec out of sync. Thumbs down
