ウィアブー you know these academies are just set up for the slave trade of young players, coz the price for avg players is redickuless clubs are more & more looking to the loan system for players, City & Chelsea buy up the hottest talent around Europe and loan them all straight out and if one becomes good bargain but that’s not their goal, they loan 30-40 out every season charging upwards of £10m a player and after they are to old for youth football they’re sold it’s all about revenue streams too meet ffp thats how these clubs can spend £200m just on a defensive back line in 1-2 seasons I mean how many youth players get regular minutes in the first team for city & Chelsea

FFP means a club can only spend what its worth, so City's owners sponsored their own club to simulate high worth. That allowed them to build an incredible team, thus generating genuine high worth. May we never forget this failing of the system.
@MitsukoLi6 жыл бұрын
The system is mostly worthless. While there needs to be caps in place to prevent absurdity, the FFP was designed as described in the video, to satisfy a cartel of already rich clubs that see teams rising via investment as a threat to their monopoly. They don't see them as a threat because it's bad for football - competition for these large teams is GOOD for football, they see them as a threat to their income.

Whilst Man Utd, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid make the most money, their brand, built of half a year explains this. Pumping money into Man City, PSG, Chelsea etc. is simply cheating and against the spirit of fair play that should underspin any sport. If the clubs are proved innocent, then, okay. But that still won't stop them from claiming titles and trophies that were simply bought and not played for. I hope all burn in a dumpster fire.
@edmundbloxam27144 жыл бұрын
And the video just demonstrates the point. Financial doping is demonstrably true. Now, the lawyers might disagree, and, again, I'm not a lawyer. But what is all this about assuming innocence. Even if the judgment system of UEFA was a bit skewed, I think the case for the EU courts (ha, look, the EU HELPING British business---well, Saudi business, really) is still pretty obvious.
@edmundbloxam27144 жыл бұрын
Also, as an entertainment product, the people in charge of the game need to be able to make decisions on a matter different to simple business/employment laws. And watching 'the best team in the world' not earn their success is deeply anathema to the very reason most people watch sport, to see top athletes go at each other within the boundaries of the game and without one player bringing a gun to a knife fight.

"Cartel at the top table" is such an accurate way to describe those teams and the monopoly they had over competitive football at the time
@chance24136 жыл бұрын
"At the time"? He literally explained how FFP is made to keep them at the top forever. It's not like a salary cap in American sports, where every team has the same ceiling of money to spend. It's basically saying you cannot spend more than you make, meaning rich clubs stay rich, and poor clubs cannot vastly over spend if they find an investor or new owner to pitch in. Imagine this, you win the lottery for 2 billion, and you buy your favorite club (Let's say it's Wolverhampton, a perfect mid sized club). With these rules in place, you are not allowed to spend the money to buy Ronaldo, Pogba, De Gea and Modric if they all became available, even if you still wouldn't be the best club in the Premier league. It's a way to keep the top clubs on top numb nuts
@srlefevre15 жыл бұрын
@@chance2413 Plus the knockout playoff system in American sports like the NBA and NFL means that the best teams are not guaranteed to win the title every year, but the traditional league system in Europe basically guarantees there can be no giant killings in Euro football because the gap in spending money is so different from the bottom to the top. Football is the greatest sport in the world and it would be amazing if it was like the NBA where really any one of 10 teams had a good chance to win each year instead of the way it is now.
@miguelsilva91185 жыл бұрын
@@chance2413 You said it yourself: "massively overspend". You can overspend a bit. Grow your club, get a bit better year after year. You think the big clubs started out big? No, they grew over the course of decades. Everyone else can too. It's just that they don't want to wait.

As an American who loves his football (the real one) this is a lot like Baseball here. No salary cap is the big issue here. You can have some sort of universal cap on wages, especially in the Premier League where you are making billions on TV deals. That's only if you want an even playing field and a new champion every year like here in the NFL or NHL. It's very difficult to maintain dynasties in those leagues and it's because of a salary cap.

2:45 - It is absolutely not nonsense. Yes, businesses go bankrupt due to a lack of cash, not a lack of profit. When you have a club like Manchester City spending these astonishing figures, the only way for the *other* clubs to compete is to act irresponsibly. *That* is the point. If you want a healthy European game, you need to ensure that there is no advantage to being sponsored by billionaires. It is simply not realistic to expect naturally aspirated clubs to just accept that they cannot compete and sit and watch from the sidelines. They won't. They'll spend, and that will mean many go bust, and century-long community stories die. The only way to stop this is to have rules that say you cannot overspend, regardless of who your owners are. The other obvious point is that there is nothing to stop City's owners simply walking away and leaving the club with a gargantuan debt that would surely put them out of existence. These rules may not be perfect, but they absolutely make sense. It's cynical, albeit partially justifiable, to just label the traditional elite a cartel just trying to shut out the nouveau riche. In the end, their interests and that of the game align in this matter regardless of their motives. Remember, too, that The Championship and Premier League also have FFP, and they are nothing to do with UEFA.
@joebarnes1004 жыл бұрын
This is exactly what it is about. It is actually fair if people put their biases aside. No one said city couldn't spend the same or similar to a team like Liverpool or arsenal but they wanted to spend more. United have a lot to answer for though because they are that team you are talking about who are overpaying trying to compete with a team like city. United can afford it though so maybe city are over spending to compete with United.

First of all - Etihad is owned by the same family as City Owner. This allows them to pump money in via the Airline. Secondly the Airline is making huge losses year in year out. Its disastrous venture with the now bankrupt Air Berlin and then with the biggest money pit in European aviation "Alitalia" will take years to recover from if at all. So how is Etihad benefiting from spending this huge amounts on MAN City?? Its a fix up and they know it and no matter how many high end lawyers they hire they know they have been caught out. Pep is a fake he goes to big clubs only where he knows huge money is available. Let him go to , with all due respect, to West Ham or even Arsenal then lets see if he can win the league!! Give any good manager an Oil well and he will win - Case in point Mancini and Pellegrini - Where are they now?

The top club cartel also got to the top through sustained success and making smart financial decisions unlike City who got instant success via slavery and human rights abusers money and the dodgy sponsorship deals they did overnight. Of course the historical top clubs would be upset with that.

So the unbridled spending of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern etc etc through the 90’s and early 00’s that cemented their position at the top of football is absolutely fine but as soon as their hegemony is challenged it’s deemed to be unfair? Whilst there is an element of truth in saying that their current standing is based off of success and history that doesn’t tell the whole story. Numerous clubs such as notts forest, Aston Villa and Leeds as examples could easily be at the summit of English football had it not been for recent mismanagement by owners who weren’t invested in the wellbeing of the clubs. It Doesn’t seem particularly fair that the current biggest clubs were able to extend their reach unopposed and now these teams have the financial backing to catch up they are pinned beneath FFP ensuring that it cannot happen. It aims to create a situation within which you are now likely never going to see your club win a trophy unless you support the current top 6
