I love them, and the sizes are great, maybe overlap them with some dimensional hooks. That's for the tutorial!
@annabaginova012 жыл бұрын
hmmm...I tried googling what dimensional hooks are but I don't think I understand the idea. Are you talking about a specific part in the video?
@lorettakendrick72912 жыл бұрын
@@annabaginova01 getting different lengths in hooks to display them so the overlap each other dimensionally. People do it with picture frames to give a layered look. some stick out further. Thats all. Great job tho.

I just love all of your work! I am attempting to recreate the mandalas and want to put them in my living room above my couch. I really want to make these but I'm having some trouble with connecting the sections on the white and mustard colored ones. I am a beginner.....obviously. Lol. Any tips?
@annabaginova013 жыл бұрын
Thank you Trisha! That's such a beautiful comment :) and I love to hear that I've inspired you to make it yourself! I totally understand that those connection points are a bit more difficult, especially for a beginner. So the connection for the mustard is the same process as for the white. Now where exactly do you get lost or have trouble? Can you let me know the timing of the video on the mustard cord so that I can try to explain a bit better? Also if you are on Instagram you can message me there as it will be possible for me to send you screenshots which can help as well.....

@@annabaginova01 thank you so much for responding to me so quickly 😁 on the mustard one do you connect the sections with diagonal double half hitch knots? Also on the square knot/terracotta mandala do you connect all the sections using square knots?
@annabaginova013 жыл бұрын
@@trishabrown1858 of course, I don't want to slow down your creative process ;) the answers are yes - using the double half hitch knot on the mustard and white ones and yes - using the square knot on the terracotta one. It looks like you are not such a beginner after all :) I hope that helped but if you have more questions please keep asking, I will be happy to help.

have you ever used a rotary cutter instead of scissors, I am new to this craft and am trying to assemble some tools. Any thoughts?
@annabaginova012 жыл бұрын
That’s interesting, I have never used and I’ve never seen it being used in macrame but maybe it would work…let me know if you try it 😉

How can I make sure that the fringes stay stiff while I ship my mandala?
@annabaginova01 Жыл бұрын
Using a fabric stiffener or hair spray is the way to go 😉
