I still feel that _The Mandalorian_ Season 1 is proof that stories outside the Skywalker Saga can be good or even great.

No shit. Disney needs to move past Lucas and create. They own the galaxy, yet they focus on one small dot

As one before me said, no shit. Stories outside of Skywalkers WERE good even before, KOTOR comics, KOTOR games, TALES OF THE JEDI, Coruscant Nights, Dark Times, Invasion, Band's Trilogy, Dawn of the Jedi and That's just old canon, media before 2014

I was late to get into the series from the start, but it hooked me in real quick. You know a show is so good, when you can't wait for the next episode.

Mando season 1 literally resurrected my passion for Star Wars. I grew up loving it but stopped really caring after Clone Wars “ended” in season 6 and moved on. Then the first episode of season 1 reminded me what I loved about Star Wars and I haven’t fallen out since
@fundude9938Ай бұрын
Completely agree. I wish season 3 was more like season 1, and would kinda wind down after the dramatic 2nd season. Making this show a movie still seems like a mistake to me.

As everywhere, after a succesful project disney tried to tie it up to the main story, to milk out theese charachters even more. Always ruins the fun

Mando was what truly got me back into Star Wars. I’d seen the movies as a teenager, but then kind of lost touch with it until Disney+ came out. Then I rewatch the movies again including the sequels that were on the platform at the time. At first, I wasn’t really interested in watching the Mandalorian cause I just didn’t have much interest in the shows and I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to follow along. Then like two days later I was like oh what the heck and decided to give it a shot. At first I wasn’t the biggest fan and caught none of the Easter eggs. Then I think it was around ep3 when I started to fall in love with Din. I watched it a few days after episode seven of season one came out and by the time the finale dropped like a week later I was hooked. Then I discovered a reaction compilation channel that kept referring to all of the other animated shows that had already come out. And then I decided hey let’s watch those. And that was a whole other rabbit hole. And then I decided to read some of the books. So yeah, the Mandalorian started it all. While season two is still my favorite season overall, I can’t deny that season one did have its own unique charm for exactly the reasons you said. And there are plenty of scenes in that first season that just hit different and are still awesome every time you watch them. Like the first time you see Din and hear the Mando theme for the first time. And that scene and episode three were all of the Mando‘s come in to save him when he’s trying to escape with Grogu. Everyone has that part of Star Wars that they’re obsessed with and or have a soft spot for, and for me it’s the Mandalorian’s and the Mandalorian culture.

All season 3 had to do was NOT sideline the main character and give the character arc that was clearly set up for him to another character
@sebastianmoore4494Ай бұрын
The only criticism I have of season one is that there were some scenes that were too dark(visually I mean). I felt like I needed to watch it with curtains closed at night with all the lights off. In the future, I would like a home theater with high quality everything. Other than that, its perfect. My current setup is probably the problem here😂

Thats why I absolutely adore Season 1. Season 2 had already more to do with the force and stuff, but was good anyways. But nothing beats Season 1 Chapter 7 (Prison) for me.

If Mando season 1 was produced by Dave Filoni, then why did the Ahsoka series not have the same vibe? I did love it but something felt off.
