Good day from Halifax, Nova Scotia. We have Acadian roots as well. I have just started learning the mandolin and came across your video. I'm going to practice it. I also started flatpicking on the guitar and love many styles including bluegrass. I am always interested in right hand technique. Thanks for the great content.

Right On! To let you know I have playlists set up on the channel for all 3. Guitar, mandolin and fiddle in order. Mandolin and fiddle with introduction and I start from scratch. They are all short videos. I would suggest watching each of them and as soon you find something you don't know start from there. Cheers!!!

As a Canadian, I am really surprised and glad to see how well you emulate the spirit of Bill Monroe in this lesson. It is refreshing to know that our traditional American music is loved by people so far north! Maybe one day we could get more fill-in lessons and how to incorporate them into a song? Much love from southern Ohio USA!

I learned from Anthony Hannigan from the state of Main through his free lessons he had on a web site called Music Moose. He passed away last year and that web site has been long gone like 20 years ago. I always will credit him as my virtual mentor. His you KZbin page is probably still up if you wanna check him out.
