Mandy's Story

Mandy's son was born with a cleft palate, but this was not noticed or diagnosed until he was 5 years old. In this video interview, Mandy talks about reaching the diagnosis and the process of coming to terms with it, how this affected her and her son and the signs that were missed over the years. She also has a message for any health professionals watching this video to to make sure they are listening to parents's concerns, to check and double check for cleft palate and to always have empathy at the forefront of their practice.
