Oh my, this song for me embodies the most unique atmosphere and energy of 1970s music..... I mean this song is the epitome of the best of the sound of the 1970s.....(I'm in my late 50s, and this piece, like all great '70s music, is part of the best memories of childhood.......) Does that make sense? Thanks to all who helped create this song.....I love you!

Music like this pretty much brought up my childhood. Pretty much any band predating the 90s I listened to with either my mother or my grandfather. This was when music was an art, not just a career.

Feeling blessed to be born and raised in the 60's onward...great music and a much less complicated lifestyle. Nowadays the kids are tracked by parents 24/7 with cell phones. I'd leave in the morning and be gone the whole day and mom would say be home before dark.. yes outside all day. I doubt the generation born in the 2000's can say it was a good time to be raised. I'm on my cell as much as any of the kids and wish to this day they were never invented. The internet has ruined many things.. mostly ADVENTURE.

Dedicated to a girl I once knew. Beautiful blond who came to my home wrapped with a Christmas bow. " here she said". I just froze in astonishment, and asked her to leave me alone. she loved this song, so now I think of her when I hear this song. Kathy Hines, J.C. Coonley School.

There's a message in this song to be decided. And only one person can do this. The one they're singing about. He's the one, on spot with his sling shot. Like David and Goliath. I'll be David. And the Goliath be "GOD". And I'm on spot with my sling shot.

I was in a bar listening to a cover band one time. The band was performing Robert Palmer Addicted To Love. My girlfriend and I stood in awe as this one drunk guy was singing at the top of his lungs... "ganna have to face it your a dickhead to love"... we were rolling!!! That guy probably still thinks that's the lyrics to that song...lol

This is currently my all-time favorite song. Brilliant writing by Springsteen, brilliantly covered (*owned!*) by MMEB. Just two problems with this video: 1. It's the short version; the long one is far superior. 2. The overlay credits are distracting. They're helpful for the band members, but not for all the other credits.

Song is about Bruce Springsteen's drug years. The people all had nicknames as in the stripper or prostitute SILICONE SISTER and possibly her pimp MANAGER MISTER and others such as TEENAGE DIPLOMATE They were partying all night and day and looking out the window for cops. When certain drugs are used it dialates one's pupils open all the way. So when.any light is seen it hurts the eyes bad. It was written as poetry. Beautiful song that will last as long as the human race like the other reply said and I agree.
