For some years I've had this monopod. Eventually, as most things that get a lot of use, the very last locking clamp (very bottom one) has developed a crack in the casting and as a result, no longer 'locks/secures' the last or smallest extension. So I don't get quite the reach as before. Do you know if this 'extension' can be sourced and replaced? thx for you breakdown.

Same exact thing happened to mine! Would love to know.

they could have made each tube 3 inches shorter so the monopod would fit into a hand luggage. I wouldn't mind being only able to extend it 10 inches lower. Alas I haven't found a way to detach the fluid part from the tube

Is it possible to easily remove the fluid base cartridge? That would allow me to put this into my backpack and onboard a plane without checking in the baggage..

***** no, it requires several tools to remove the base. It's not worth bringing tools just to tear down the base of the monopod for a airplane trip.

hi do you know how to remove the fluid base cartridge with the screw stuck?? i mean how can remove the screw if its infinity turning..? one of my monopod feet is broken .. the exact model.. thought of getting a replacement feet

+Izuwan Rahmat You mean the feet themselves? You would have to remove the entire bottom assembly to replace the foot. The foot is held in by a pop rivet which is not replaceable unless you have a pop rivet gun. you might just have to send it in to manfrotto. I don't think they sell spare parts but it can't hurt to ask.
