Nice story. But stories like this always reminds me of how much wasted time they could have had together. You can still work towards a better you while being together. I understand some people think so low of themselves, but having your strongest support around makes it easier and more motivated to become that which you somehow think you should be. And that doesn't translate to the other person. They may believe you are enough and will love and support you to become more anyways because they love you. Just my opinion but those people are just stupid to me.

Pretty hard to actually ask a teacher out when you are illegal, the situation is the same here, she ain't risking getting thrown in the jail either, but the MC probably knew that he was not in her level yet too lately (he rejected her because he is still not a full fledged employer, in which he actually thought that his standards weren't enough yet, but he wasn't so wrong though, gotta be a better man before loving someone), gladly, both are level headed, if not, shit would have happened and they definitely won't end up together if anything, Matsumura fell first but Kiyoka obviously fell harder, thinking about how long she was waiting for him, and still was waiting for him even after rejection is not something anyone could deal with, logically, anyone would have moved on, but she didn't, overall is pretty good, but there are visible mistakes (plot holes), well nothing is perfect anyways, all that i can tell is both are tough people, since it's true that they had hard time with each other considering of the unfavorable time.

We can say that Furukawa almost did a big damage. She told lies to Kiyoka making her believe that the protagonist was dating others. It's not clear whether she tells her this with the intention of making her move and go look for the protagonist or whether to make her stop waiting for him and move on, returning to taking part in matchmackings and meeting the boys she wants him to meet. Let's give her the benefit of the doubt and think she wanted to help her friend. It's a shame that instead of being the cupid of the situation, she turned out to be the "bad omen bird" who only created problems for her friend. In fact if she had minded her own business within a few months the matter would settle itself without Kiyoka suffering unnecessarily feeling doubly rejected. It must be said that if the protagonist had explained to Kiyoka why he couldn't go out with her yet, maybe the problem wouldn't have existed and Furukawa would have been in all respects the cupid of their story. But obviously the protagonist must act in a way that creates the misunderstanding, otherwise the story would have been too smooth and empty of content.

I thought that this was a really good story. Though just kind of wanted to say this to get it off my chest about the part when Kiyoka was comparing her getting rejected once to the tons of time she rejected Matsumura. When she rejected him during those 4 years it was because she was his teacher and he was a minor if she did say yes then it would have caused tons of problems for both of them and ruin their lives. The only time that the rejections were similar, it wouldn't cause a problem if they said yes and it was more on the persons ideals of the situation not being what they wanted, was during his graduation when technically he was legal and not her student. Either way I thought that it was a good story and felt what the characters were going through, glad that they got together.
