MANIC PANIC TONING BRASSY BLEACHED HAIR!!

--MANIC PANIC ULTRAVIOLET --
I applied on washed, dry hair.
Put about 4 drops of MANIC PANIC for the amount of conditioner shown in the video. I did 2 rounds of that mixture.
Left it on my hair for 1.5 hours, covered in shower cap.

@@barbararapson2352 Yes! I put it on my roots to tone out the orangey brassy tone! Careful on time when you put it on light blonde because it will turn it purple or blue. I mix purple and blue to take out any orange I have. The only draw back is you'll have to do it every couple of weeks.

I would never leave in for two hours. i would do test area at 15 minute increments to determine the right length of time. I once put in too much of the purple and my hair line turned lavender. I had to have it professionally removed with a soap cap. Fried my hair.

it is also ok to leave over night. no harm done, heck actually makes hair softer if left on longer

I did the same mistake!! ...I left it for 40 min and my hair was completely purple!! ....I had to ask to several hair salons to help me until one accepted and did "Crystallization" ...removed that color out of my hair and left me with my initial color. I learned that using blue or purple to tone brassy colors do WORK but for 10 or 15 as max

I just did this today and it worked really well, but I think I maybe should have left it in a little longer to get ALL the brassiness out (I left it on for 25 min), my question is how often can you do this toning treatment? I would like to do it again some time in the next few weeks and maybe more in the future, but I definitely don't want to accidentally turn my hair purple!!! Any info or advice you could give me would be great, I am such a hair novice!! Thank you!!

Erica thanks for watching. Yup u can leave it on for longer, I leave on for about an hour each time. I've done it quite often, I space out minimum one week. From my exp, it doesn't turn purple, it turns purple you put the purple dye directly on the hair. If you put too little conditioner to the purple dye, the hair turns greyish, but after few washes it should be ashy. Even if it does turn purple it tones down to ash after few washes, Im okay with that, I prefer that over brassy hair :) hope it helps!

You can tone with semi permanent dye and conditioner as often as you want. I do it once a week as a deep conditioning treatment

It takes abit of trial and error. For every tub of conditioner I show in video, I only used about 3-4 blobs of purple dye. If you put too much it will turn a tinge or purple. Too little and won’t last as Long.

Nicole Tran I left it for 1hour plus. It’s the amount of purple you add to the mixture that will determine the colour of the end result. Not the duration. Hope this helps~

Just so you know treseme is absolutely horrible for your hair because all the sulfates, chemicals and parabens! It will also clog your cuticle and cause your hair to develop oil overnight or within 24 hours and that isn't normal, your hair should become oily after not washing for two days.

No it should be conditioner. I use aussi moist, it's cheap and makes your hair super soft. You need to leave it on for a while.

Niki Gurle nope it wasn't too much for me, my hair turned a shade of ash brown afterwards. I tried using lesser, didn't quite cut it, still yellowish.
