Quite simply THE MOST astonishing and incredible model making I have ever seen! The fact that it's been done in paper has left me even more amazed!
@EagleOneM195311 жыл бұрын
As someone who has been involved in scale models designing for 35 years you have been able to stun me. I know what's involved in achieving this and all I can come up with is WOW! People think skills and artistry is all it takes to achieve this but I know patience is needed as well, if not more. Super Job. And you are right about college. It's not because you went to college you are per definition smart. That is proven daily. It takes more than college to learn about life. Experience does though. I wish you nothing but success in whatever you challenge next in life.

I am humbled. Beautiful work. Mr Blase my architectural design class would have used your efforts as an example back in 73. He had us use paper and balsa creating gliders and our designs in houses. I obsessively work with Sketch Up Make creating models you inspired me to actually try building those designs. After I draw them out. Free sketch up you can't print out your work. You are just plain amazing.

***FOR THE RECORD*** I did not drop out of college because of or for this project. My reasons were unrelated, but I've obviously had more time to work on this since leaving.

After graduating from college myself, I think if you are able to get the skills outside college why go to one. For hiring purpose mostly? Well I am not even working in my field of studies so there you go. You are doing great.

The one thing that I've really worked and actually mastered in my university years was how to play Counter Strike, a piece of paper doesn't really prove anything and doesn't really mean anything in the long run. I think if you put in as much effort in any of your future endeavours as you do into this model plane I think things will work out for ya.
@neobaggins37189 жыл бұрын
The paper you have in front of you is more of an achievement in its current state than if it were in the shape of a diploma with ink from some university. The design of the mechanics is breathtaking!

***** That's what I was just wondering about. How the heck can anyone have time to build this sh...t!!!??? LOL I used to work around airplanes. The cargo doors look so real it's unbelievable. The only thing that looked a little small was the front cargo door. These front doors fit pallets in through them. Other than that, your work is stunning!

unbelievable ! How in the world is it possible that this beautifully crafted person is capable/able to: think up, design, develop, execute in a way that it is functional … all of these incredible small parts out of paper, and that the model is even able to move all of its component parts ! This guy deserves some sort of fantastic job in a for him very attractive position, simply because of him showing he has been able to make this kind of machine, in this manner, completely independently !

Luca Iaconi-Stewart Was it one of those $0.10/hr projects because of the insane amount of effort? Just curious, as I always wonder how people with your skills make a living. I work on Industrial Scales, and make a pretty good living, but when I'm busy, it leaves limited time for my RC plane habbit

Estupendo! Please tell us what got you started on this project in particular? Why this plane? Why manila folders? Are all the parts hand cut or do you also use a laser cutter?
@lucaiaconistewart11 жыл бұрын
Took an architecture class in HS and we used manila folder to make simple models. I took that concept and went crazy with it haha. I have never used (and don't really want to use) a laser cutter-for me, cutting is one of the easier parts of the process. I chose this plane cause I love the proportions!

Great Work Luca..!! The perfection clearly reflects meticulous planning, aesthetic sense, engineering knowledge and your creativity and above all your passion & concentration. This achievement of successfully completing your project and the satisfaction of your self with the quality is worth more than million dollars.. I've a small company in India, trying to create Visualization (Animation + Videography) only and only for Engineering.. Many people think n talk on this subject but very few focus only on one thing to create something really awesome.. Would like your association in case you r interested to keep creating things really awesome.. Do respond back if interested..!!

You are incredibly, you made unbelievable paper detailed models, I love your channel, what type of glue you use for these paper models?
Ever thought about doing a tutorial teaching people how to make things like this?
@lucaiaconistewart10 жыл бұрын
Toasted Lego I have, but that in itself would take a lot of work, just in terms of organization and explaining processes etc. Something to think about once I have the project behind me. I've given people some tips though and encouraged them to give it a shot... I kinda taught myself all of this over time.

@dreamycloud9711 жыл бұрын
Man... I can't even begin to fathom HOW you do this.... So many questions!! How did you actually make such tiny things of such detail that it is actually FUNCTIONABLE (-mindblown-)?? Does it break easily?? Did you have to do one piece of everything many times before it works?? How does the handles and such even move?? And how did you put it into the plane when it's so small?? @-@
@10Exahertz11 жыл бұрын
Exactly, it's so tiny, its insane that it even works, speechless
