Micah does a great job of fooling people. She’s good at hiding the sort of sinister nature she has by befriending those who exhibit that nature overtly. Then when they get caught she sort of runs from the situation or shrinks so she’s not the one people are focusing on. She loves people pinning after her and can’t stand for anyone else to have the attention, particularly as it pertains to male attention, from what we’ve seen. She couldn’t stand Amber winning over her so she took Paul from her. Then upon seeing Kwame she wanted to show Chelsea that she could still have all his attention during the pool party. She’s a dangerous one you really have to pay close attention to her words and actions to see who she truly is.

Great analysis! I thought Irina was a sociopath initially and Micah was just weak and impressionable, but watching it back and hearing your analysis, it's clear Micah is as equally a dark character as Irina, if not worse. There is often a faint smirk on her face when she is fooling or manipulating people (dupers delight). She's probably more dangerous than Irina because she's good at playing the victim, and convincing people she's a sweet and harmless girl deep down. I could tell she only wanted Paul to steal him from Amber, and was utterly gleeful when Paul dumped Amber. She was also brutal to Kwame, pretending she was going to choose him so that he'd dump Chelsea, before suddenly and coldly dumping him. I was relieved to see karma seemed to catch up with both Micah and Irina when the men all wised up to their games. They really are bad characters, I'm glad they failed to sabotage others relationships despite trying hard to do so.

This is all conjecture BUT there was a part of me that suspects that once Kwame told Micah how he wanted to propose early, that she got scared by the thought of what it meant to be in an interracial relationship. The likelihood that Paul was white was greater than the likelihood that Kwame was white. Of course her rationale of choosing the “slow burn” romance could be true as well, but I still feel like Paul was the “safer”/more “socially acceptable” choice for her. To me it felt like she boxed Paul in and gave him an ultimatum to break things off with his other connection as a way to exert influence over him. She wouldn’t likely have the same upper hand with Kwame despite how smitten he is with her
@sincerelyalex28 Жыл бұрын
I also have seen some discourse on other platforms regarding Paul and Zack present signs of potential neurodivergence. I could see that being the case with his conversation with Kwame and missing those social cues on what’s appropriate to confess to him and what’s not. I saw it a bit too in the scene where Paul meets Micah’s friends. They ask him how he knew Micah was the one, and half way through his response, Micah cuts him off and attributes “the way he talks” to him being a scientist. As if his “big word” usage was weird or something
@komahianor Жыл бұрын
I agree with you that Micah believed Paul to be the safer, more socially acceptable choice for the type of lifestyle she wants to lead. I don't believe she wanted to have an interracial relationship and all that comes with that (biracial children, fitting in with family, looks from strangers etc.). But I also believe that she would have exerted even more influence over Kwame than over Paul because of the racial dynamic and of Kwame being so ready to compromise to have his trophy wife.
@medtle1 Жыл бұрын
From my experience, most white women tend to prefer white men and only date MOC until they can get the dream white guy they want. Micah has no trouble attracting white guys and the type of lifestyle she wants is something Kwame can never give her (no matter how much money he makes or how smitten he is with her). To Micah, Kwame isn't as attractive as paul, both physically and financially. [And based on how Kwame treated Chelsea, who is also white but older and not considered as attractive as Micah in men's eyes, maybe Micah dodged a bullet when choosing Paul over kwame.]

Paul was being shockingly insensitive with Kwame. It’s very interesting to compare the Fe dominant types and Ne/Ni being in different places in the stack. Micah as an ESFJ is still keeping that door open with Kwame, even in very recent episodes. She could possibly do this up until the wedding, which would be the final decision she can’t come back from. Whereas, an ENFJ has Ni as the secondary function and would be more locked into a decision. We often struggle to make decisions, especially personal ones because of the finality that comes with a decision. Choosing someone in the pods would be final, as opposed to the wedding. However, Ni allows me to see the best possible outcome, or how various paths would likely turn out. I feel a strong pull to one option. Usually have to talk things through with someone else first. 99% of the time. But once an ENFJ makes a choice, we get pretty locked onto it. We don’t tend to keep options open (Ne) but we do have massive anxiety over having made the right choice. I’ve had many sleepless nights, even if the results from my choice are positive. Even if my gut tells me the other path wouldn’t have been beneficial, there’s a voice saying what if. Of course this is way worse if I feel my intuition failed me and the result was negative. Decision paralysis can be so strong. It appears ESFJs are able to avoid a lot of this by engaging Ne. But for an ENFJ, having all those options still on the table would be debilitating. It’s kind of like mental torture lol. One of the most stressful times in my life was making a decision in a similar situation to Micah in the pods. But once it was done, it was absolutely final.
@DrCherieTypes Жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing - really appreciate how you articulate the feeling of Ni. We all have different strategies to life. Having the N function in a pessimist position ie. 2nd or 4th would always mean that your intuition is more cautious and for risk management, hence your anxiety over whether you’ve made the right choice, even if it seems clear. Pessimistic N functions can lead to decision paralysis, but I would argue the opposite is not necessarily good either. ESFJs have a different form of decision paralysis by choosing everything 😅
@user-js4mt1nr2y Жыл бұрын
I feel decision paralysis is actually more something that esfj's have. They just can't make a decision because of all the options they see. Where Ni naturally funnels to the best option naturally. Only when there is conflicting information or not enough we go to Ti and overhink. But esfj's have Ti as last option aswell. Then Si has more difficulty with things going different than they are used to and want things to stay the same. So if that's an option tje decision is easily made. But if not than Ni and Se has it adventage to adjust to the new present and forsee the best solution.

I really don't think Kwame was miming putting a wedding ring on Micah, it looked like he was touching/drawing attention to the engagement ring she was already wearing. It was still inappropriate and too close, but honestly I think Kwame was much more in the wrong in that scene. Especially given how drunk Micah clearly was.
@DrCherieTypes Жыл бұрын
Interesting read on the sitch, I agree that you can see it from that point of view too. Although Kwame with Fi is unlikely to do anything that makes himself feel bad, like drawing attention to Paul’s engagement ring for her. What he might be trying to do is to change the way she values or relates to the ring, now that he’s touched it
@nevswain478 Жыл бұрын
Wait, you think KWAME was more in the wrong? lmfao. And your excuse is that Micah seemed ''drunk'' really? lmfao.. Micah manipulated the WHOLE situation. Kwame just fell for it.
@maggiedk Жыл бұрын
@@nevswain478 lol have you watched the scene closely? I watched it twice bc I was watching with my partner the second time, and we both agreed that Kwame was being more OPENLY flirtatious/inappropriate throughout the whole pool scene. It was very obvious that as Micah got more drunk (not sure why you put that in quotes, she was clearly drunk by the end and was shown taking shots), she became more openly inappropriate, but in the beginning she was being more reserved/less obviously flirtatious. I actually do agree that Micah seemed very manipulative at many points in the show, so I don't know why you're acting like I'm trying to defend her as a person. But to say that she manipulated the "WHOLE thing" as if Kwame isn't an adult who chose to start flirting with her right after he got engaged to someone else is ridiculous. He had power over his own actions in that situation and the way he treated Chelsea by talking to/looking at/touching Micah like that wasn't okay. The way Micah treated him and Paul wasn't okay either, but *in that one scene,* YES I think Kwame was the one being more OPENLY inappropriate. She was at least smart enough in the beginning to realize that she was being filmed and not be as obvious as he was.

Another question - from your analysis of all seasons, there are many ISFPs and ISTPs, whereas far fewer of the other types. I wonder if you have thoughts on why these two types are drawn to reality TV, the format of LIB in particular, and either reaching the wedding altar or at least playing a significant part of the storyline?
@DrCherieTypes Жыл бұрын
Interesting question 🤔 The commonality between ISFP and ISTP is that they share Ni in the 3rd position, Ni Child. Ni Child is very driven once its committed to a goal or a vision, to the point that they no longer see any alternative possibilities. They’ll keep going even if they hit a brick wall. So perhaps if their vision is marriage, the format of LIB enables them to achieve that goal singleminded-ly, which draws them in to participate. Because they get so stubborn just to achieve the goal, they tend to make some rash decisions under the pressure of reality TV, which makes it more likely they’ll be a significant part of the storyline because producers want drama. Furthermore, ISTPs value efficiency so if their goal is marriage, they’ll appreciate a method that expedites the process ie. LIB. Whereas ISFPs are expressive, possess strong values, and have a huge desire to be heard and understood, so that might be their draw towards reality TV. This is all hypothetical of course 😅

Micah is so fake, she loves Paul but still gives hope to Kwame just so that he doesn't love Chelsea as he would

Do you think the expression of these traits are real? Do you think the filming crew orchestrated scenarios and manipulated footage in order for it to seem like there was more drama than there actually was?

It’s funny how micha allowed her friends to try to intimidate and be rude to her soon to be husband but when he said he don’t care she immediately tried to shut it down and tell him his attitude sucks but im reality her friends have the sucky attitude and they don’t like to be called out about it

Hi Cherie, just a quick question: I live in Italy, do you book sessions for people in Europe too? Not sure where you're based, so just asking out of interest. Cheers!

Shelby is a blonde Irina- and I don't see what's wrong w Paul for Micah? If anything, judging from the company she keeps, he would be the only normal person in her life. That said- what's the deal w Paul basically choosing a younger version of his mom to marry? Let's talk about that! Lol

Also Unrelated I'd love to know what you think about sub-types within the main types. Like Dominant, Creative, etc. I watched some vids on Personality Hacker, after I took their type test. So fascinating
@DrCherieTypes Жыл бұрын
Sub types are generally used to explain discrepancies among people with the same personality type. “Really? That person is the same type as me?” I think our type comes from nature and subtype comes from nurture. Our functions are tools, how we use it depends on the challenges life throws at us. Personality Hacker was one of my early study resources. Their car model explains the function stack well. I’ve developed and tested my own theories that is focused on building healthier relationships with oneself, our inner circle, and colleagues.

So, she‘ a typical Esfj mean girl. ISTP and Isfp guys are her perfect matches according to mbti but people act like it’s such a Mystery - the dynamic between this trio 😂 As a mean Esfj she needs an ego boost by opting for a more challenging option, it seems more desirable.. Mean people see kindness and emotional vulnerability as weakness, especially if they see you’re all over them. I love MBTI, it makes everything so obvious

Hmm I don't think Paul is a Sensor, I'd say he's more INTJ or INTP

Love this !! I would say ESFP for Micah anyway this is so cute I’m an Estp and my husband is an ISTJ my ex husband of 14 years ESFJ they are very loyal and gossipy I wouldn’t say Micah is the loyal type but I don’t know usually ESFJ marry young or stay with a high school sweetheart for ages
