Great video as always and I do have a question. Perhaps you have answered this in the past and if so I apologize. Do you prioritize the same level of strength training in the spring/summer months as you do in the winter? I generally do 3-4 sessions of strength in the winter but then come spring I'm so excited to get outside and run the trails I kind of just....well...bail totally on strength until the snow starts to fly again. This year I'm thinking of trying to keep 1-2 per week even in the summer months. Wondering your thoughts? Thanks and keep up the great content.

Thank you! Great question; I will answer here and in next week's episode. In prior years I have generally slacked off my strength training in the spring/summer/fall as well. However, I am going to try my best not to do that this year. I really feel that keeping my 3 days per week strength training will only benefit me in the long run (lol pun). I feel it will help with injury prevention, longevity in the sport, and help me in the mountains. I would definitely recommend sticking with 2 days per week at a minimum.

What you really live in an absolutely beautiful place. That Incline looks brutal. And yet attractive! Personal I just love running in the snow. Sadly there aren't many days with snow here in Denmark

Couldn't agree more! I love winter running! Thanks for watching from Denmark!

Regular people in 6 inches of snow: well we’re snowed in, can’t drive, let’s stay in You and Val: let’s go on a snow climb! Nice work with the snow, congrats on getting out there and getting it done!

Beautiful sunny snowy view! Walking and hiking in snow or sand always makes my legs super tired, you’re doing hard things - my legs would be tired too!

Haha totally! Let’s go on an adventure!

I’m sure that snow run was taxing. I ran in 4-6” of snow last week and it was hard. I ran in mud and water this week due to recent rains. Good training, but looking forward to drier and warmer times.

Definitely makes our runs a bit more challenging!

You wear trail shoes for your snow runs ? Traction purposes maybe….? Runner’s paradise ( Colorado)

On trail I do. Plus ice traction at times.

Barr trail is much nicer for decent😊. Plus I love my hat i ordered- thank you
@UltraTrailSteven10 ай бұрын
I like Barr Trail too, but the muscles worked from descending the incline don't get worked on normal trails that much. Thanks for the support!
@ScottRunsnStuff10 ай бұрын
@ultratrailsteven I might be doing the incline in a couple weeks - potentially planning up incline, down Barr x2. That would surely be faster than down the steps. How’s the trail section this time of year? I’ve got spikes just in case
@UltraTrailSteven10 ай бұрын
You will definitely want spikes on Barr. Its nasty this time of year. Going down Barr is generally a good bit longer than doing down the Incline. @@ScottRunsnStuff
