Manta Rays, Rare Spawns, New Aquatic Life, and more! Update Speculation for Sea of Thieves

Short video on some ideas for Rare to implement into their game. The idea is that since the game is mostly water, there should be more water based content which includes rare sea monster spawns, sunken treasure, giant eels, schools of fish, and more. Enjoy the video!

I feel like this update would make sense because of the whole “ocean deep” theme of Season Two. I think maybe season 2 was originally supposed to add sirens, ocean crawlers, and update everything underwater, and Season 3 was supposed to be A Pirate’s Life. However, it got delayed, and they had to put sirens in with A Pirate’s Life for The Sunken Pearl to work. Here’s hoping to a Season 4: Underwater Update!

More underwater exploration and wildlife has been asked for countless times on the SoT forums and I couldn't agree more with how great that would be. Before the portal was added, one of the devs said they couldn't expand the map outward more so future expansions would be downward rather than outward. Hopefully we get more underwater expansion and portal instance expansion.

World event idea! The kraken pulls your ship deep underwater and you have to fight through an underwater fort with sirens and lots of puzzle rooms to move on. If you lose then you sink, and there would have to be different mechanics with other players and pvp.

If you could bring more wild life into the game, what would it be? Would it be mythical, like krakens, sirens, and megalodons, or ordinary, like fish, seagulls, and crabs?

Well I want a lot of regular stuff like seagulls that could land on your ship, schools of fish that you could fish at for better versions, crabs for food, and then maybe add some rare creatures to find in the water like the loch Ness monster. Also whales or dolphins would be amazing
