to animate the scale of rectangle, you can change "size" instead of "scale". While changing "size" the stroke wouldn't get changed. To find "size" property, select the rectangle layer and search size in the search bar near the timecode. I am not sure but i think you can't change the anchor point which is set in the center for size property.

True! However the size only changes the size from the middle. In this case that wouldn’t be a problem but if you were doing more advanced movements or wanted more control you’d have a problem

Good animations = Ae. It’s industry standard. DaVinci is great for editing and colour grading but for animations your best bet is still after effects
