I'm binge watching your videos. I noticed your blender is your best friend in the kitchen 😀😀 what brand is it? I have all the ingredients, going to make this. Making vegan desserts involve very different ingredients as opposed to regular baking. Almond flour, coconut sugar and nut butter seem to be used predominantly, dates too and they are quite expensive. I have to find a way to buy them in bulk. Can't imagine how you come up with such creative recipes, must involve a lot of experimenting, making in small batches etc. I have a major sweet tooth, I really need to switch to vegan desserts. So glad I found your channel 🙌🙌

Ha yes you are correct--I am a little blender obsessed. I use a Vitamix in all my recipes and absolutely love it for everything. This is the exact one I currently am using: amzn.to/2xpLV6S but any of their models are fantastic. It is an entirely new world of ingredients and techniques for sure, especially if you go for gluten free recipes too. I buy a few things on amazon, but recently I've discovered thrivemarket.com to be great for cheaper baking ingredients as well. Oh and Trader Joe's, I would be lost without that place. I have quite the sweet tooth too, so I hope these healthier desserts satisfy yours too :)

Your videos are always so beautifully done! Could I ask you what tripod or overhead stand you use for your camera? I am looking to get one but the ones are see are quite pricey! :/
@FeastingonFruit8 жыл бұрын
+Sweet Simple Vegan I use this manfrotto tripod for everything: www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-MKCOMPACTADV-BK-Compact-Advanced-Tripod/dp/B00L6F1J9Y/ref=sr_1_4?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1453759110&sr=1-4&keywords=manfrotto+tripod For the over head shots I just tilt it all the way down and then photoshop out the tripod legs when necessary. Not the best but it works :) And yeah I would love an overhead arm too but so pricey!  And now I'm off to go check out you banana bread, because I still have more bananas to use up :D

+FloralFoods Blog Cornstarch or leave it out. It just makes for a better texture in GF stuff, but not essential :)

😭😭😭 Thank youuuuu!!! I will 100% try this sometime soon~!! But another question, what brand of oats do you use? I would like the know the specific ones you use. Do you make the oats into flour yourself? Or do you buy oat flour?
@FeastingonFruit8 жыл бұрын
+Ran Dom I buy the bob's red mill GF oats and grind the flour myself in my Vitamix. Just a like 10-20 seconds on high gets it really fine. I have used the Arrowhead Mills oat flour as well, but it's not certified GF and its quite expensive when oats are so cheap.
@sookjenwong6 жыл бұрын
Yum ! That makes me drool. Does the corn meal make it crunchy? My husband spreads corn meal before laying his pizza dough, makes the crust nutty! I can’t partake in it because I’m looking for recipes gluten free dairy free and vegan and voila ! I have done a few recipes of yours and brought them to the yoga studio! They love it! Thanks so much! Keep creating keep them coming!
@FeastingonFruit6 жыл бұрын
Yep, it does add a little nubbly crunch, which I LOVE here! This one would be gf/df and vegan as long as you use gf oats, but I'm happy you are trying and sharing some of the others too :)

I may have asked on another video (I can't keep track), but what is the best substitute for oat flour? I cannot handle oats, even gf ones.
@FeastingonFruit8 жыл бұрын
There is no straight substitute that I know of, and it varies recipe to recipe. A couple combos to try would be: Buckwheat + tapioca starch (1:1 ratio) White rice (not sticky white rice and not brown rice) + almond flour + potato starch (2:2:1 ratio) White rice + brown rice + tapioca starch (1:1:1 ratio) Tapioca flour is great if things are too dry or falling apart which can happen a lot with GF baking, so that will be helpful along with just about any flour you try. It will probably take some experimentation though, I'm sorry there isn't an easy answer for this. I will try to do some experimentation myself and find a good mix that will work in most of my quickbread/muffin/cakes. I hope that gives you somewhere to start though!

How do you get the proportions right when you create a new baking recipe? To keep it from being too dry/get the consistency you want.
@FeastingonFruit8 жыл бұрын
Lots of experimentation and also using past recipes as a starting point for new ones. I have kind of a basic formula now that I can adjust for new ingredients. But sometimes it just takes getting in the kitchen and making it 12 times until it perfect😁

Can I use Sweet Rice Flour Mochiko brand by Koda Farms, Cornmeal Flour and I have some Tapioca Flour? Also have Cassava Starch. What would be the ratio? I have all the other ingredients to make this.
@FeastingonFruit4 жыл бұрын
I haven't tested with any of those so I can't say for sure, you will have to experiment yourself!
@cassiee34944 жыл бұрын
@@FeastingonFruit ok. Blender conk out so that's why I can't do oat flour. Will probably wait or try. I know you mentioned rice flour but this is sweet rice flour.
@camillabe47238 жыл бұрын
Do you think rice flour or buckwheat flour will work instead?
@FeastingonFruit8 жыл бұрын
+Camilla Bøe Rice flour alone, probably not. A GF all purpose blend might work, and buckwheat might work. Can't say from experience though as I haven't tried it myself.
