Folks, I want to introduce you to Morgan James. She just released her first album, and everyone needs to know about her, because she's phenomenal and deserves to be a huge star. Once I heard her voice, I knew instantly that I had to get her in a video- and here it is: our 1970's Motown / Soul remake of Maroon 5's new hit, "Maps." Special thanks to Mykal Kilgore (from "Motown: The Musical") and Jasmine Walker for joining us on backup vocals.

@L1623VP
@L1623VP 5 күн бұрын
@@wuerzelburg No. Poor Morgan got cancelled back in 2012. In 2011, she was doing Godspell on Broadway, then a couple other shows after that. She was just beginning to take off. In 2012, there was a revival of Into the Woods happening at the Delacorte Theater in New York and quite literally, it was awful in every way, casting, direction, etc. Morgan, being a young up-and-coming star, didn't know how vicious and unforgiving the entertainment world could be. She simply gave her opinion about how awful that production of Into the Woods was on Twitter. She was right, but that didn't matter. She was instantly attacked by lots of "industry" people, replying how unprofessional it was for her as an actor to publicly criticize other actors. She didn't mention anyone specifically in her tweet but simply said the show was awful in just three sentences. Well, like others, she was forced to make a public apology but it didn't matter. She was shut out of the entertainment industry in New York, and the rest is history. So unfortunate and unfair for her.

for those who don't know, Morgan James is a broadway star. She is classically trained in voice and Classical opera singing at Juilliard School. Google more videos of her to see how good her techniques are. Don't compare her to these pop singers with no range or training. She's on a totally different league.

Geno Guerrero yea... now that you brought it up, id have to say Taylor has more soul than Morgan. It's just my opinion but i think that's something Morgan needs to work on even though her technique is flawless, but she's missing that ease and effortless thing that Taylor Dayne has.

I just tonight discovered PMJ ! I'm 67. Played bass 34 years and lived through the real vintage doo wop days in the mid-1950s onward. You are all a fabulous bunch of musicians. What delightful move away from the ugly, un-melodic, non-sequiter words and horrible impotent names like Mumford and Sons, Moby, Garbage, Snoop Dogg and that rap crap. You can have Lady GaGa, too ! Ugh ! Horrid horrid 'entertainment' ! C&W lost it's bearings, too. You are all adorable, fresh and new to the eyes and ears..I hope you storm the world the way those 4 guys from Great Britain did in '64..You deserve it for bringing back quality, class and charm...Love it...Thank you Scott and the rest for recreating some old magic into new magic ! ! Love it !! Even the sound and balance is spot on !! .......Mark

I understand why this would be a popular comment here, but most people like living in their own apartment because this means that they have some time for themselves. I listen to a lot of music and a lot of that music is in this style, but there are times when I am not in the mood for it. And at those times the last thing I would want was the muffled sound of a live band coming through my ceiling, no matter how awesome the music is. I just hope they deal with this in person rather than through lawyers. I mean, in theory it should be as simple as: DING DONG *Neighbour:* "Hello? Oh, it's you. Good to see you!" *Scott:* "Yeah, hi! About that music thing. I wanted to ask you if it was okay if I were to bring a few artists over to practice and record for about two hours on Thursday from five PM." *Neighbour:* "Thursday... That's not very good for me. I'll be home from work then and, frankly, I'd really like to have some time to settle down then. Do you have your calendar with you? I'm sure we can find a date." *Scott:* "Thanks. I'll go and fetch it real quick."
